Chapter 32

“Grandmaster… The alcohol is too strong…” Brian sputtered, hiccupping and burping uncontrollably. He barely managed to get the words out before stumbling to the side, desperately rushing to a nearby trash bin to vomit.

Just as he was dealing with his discomfort, a white BMW screeched to a halt at the entrance of the estate. Helena stepped out, her eyes immediately locking onto Nash. Her face twisted in disgust, as if she had just encountered a fly buzzing around her.

However, the setting was the Watson family’s estate, and Helena knew that Nash wouldn’t dare to cause trouble here. After all, he wasn’t foolish enough to act out on the Watsons’ turf.

Earlier, after Hera slapped her, Helena had been itching to retaliate, to slap Hera right back and restore some of her dignity. But it hadn’t been feasible with her grandfather present. That’s when her mother had devised a better plan for revenge.

“What luck… bumping into you everywhere,” Helena sneered, her voice dripping with disdain as she glared at Nash.

The alcohol, potent as it was, had clearly taken its toll. The two of them had only managed to drink about half a liter, but Brian’s stomach was already rebelling, causing him to vomit uncontrollably at the side. Nash’s own stomach churned, and his face contorted in discomfort.

“Sorry, you made me nauseous,” Nash said, patting his chest before casting a disgusted glance at Helena.

Did she really think he wanted to see her?

Nash couldn’t hold it in any longer. He rushed to the trash bin, emptying his stomach in a forceful heave, his expression one of genuine revulsion. It was as though Helena’s presence had made him physically sick.

Helena’s blood boiled with fury as she watched him. With a furious step, she marched toward the gate of the estate. “Kai, did you see what he did…?” she demanded, her voice sharp.

Inside the car, Kai’s grip on the steering wheel tightened, his knuckles turning white. His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Nash, burning with fury. If looks could kill, Nash would have been reduced to ash by now.

Beside him, a blonde-haired man in tight clothing nonchalantly trimmed his nails with a switchblade. Sensing the tension in the air, he glanced over at Kai, raising an eyebrow. “Should I take care of him?”

Kai’s lips curled into a sneer. “He laid his hands on my men, but before I could settle the score with him, he had the nerve to come looking for me!”

With a sudden burst of anger, Kai slammed his foot onto the accelerator. The red sports car surged forward, its engine roaring like a beast unleashed. The car shot toward Nash with breathtaking speed, closing the gap in the blink of an eye.

Although Kai didn’t dare to kill Nash right in front of the estate, he figured he could still cause a crash. Nash, with his cultivation at the ninth division of inner energy, wouldn’t die from a collision, but he would surely be severely injured—disabled, even—if the car hit him at full force.

In less than a second, the car covered the fifty-meter distance, and Kai’s eyes gleamed with madness. He pressed the accelerator to the limit, determined to strike Nash down.

Nash noticed the car speeding toward him and narrowed his eyes. Without hesitation, he kicked the ground hard, sending a powerful ripple through the air. The strike was barely noticeable to the untrained eye, but the subtle energy it released was enough to shift the momentum.

The experts in the car, all with different-colored hair and smug expressions, shared a silent laugh. They knew that with the car’s full-speed impact, even the strongest martial artist would be crushed. No one—no matter how skilled—could survive a collision of that magnitude.

Helena clenched her fists, her face lighting up with excitement. “Hit him, hit him!” she urged, her voice almost gleeful.

She knew that Nash was a martial artist, and normally, she would never dare act so recklessly. But Kai was fearless, and if he killed Nash, the Watson family had more than enough power to cover up the accident.

Then, the impossible happened.

There was a deafening explosion as the sports car collided with an invisible force. The vehicle was tossed into the air, spinning wildly before crashing down violently. Kai’s body was flung from the car, his form slamming into the ground with a sickening thud. Blood pooled around him, staining the asphalt.

The front of the car was completely crushed, the engine torn apart and scattered across the street. The multimillion-dollar sports car, a symbol of wealth and status, was now nothing more than a mangled heap of scrap metal.

“Kai…” Helena’s voice wavered in shock, her eyes wide with disbelief as she rushed to his side.
