Chapter 90
Xeno quickly said, “I’ll accompany Mr. Nash. Mr. Skye, you stay in the car!”
“Neither of you need to get out… I can handle this myself!”
Nash got out of the car and closed the door. On the way here, he had listened to Xeno talk about the power of the Green Bamboo Association. With 18 branches nationwide and over 30,000 members, such power was indeed daunting.
Backing the Dragon Tiger Gate were the Skyes, a family with numerous branches across the country and a force that could rival the Green Bamboo Association. Nash did not want to escalate the situation between these two major forces over his personal affairs. A clash between them would only disrupt social order.
Nash quickly approached Salvatore and the others. Salvatore shouted to his men, “What’s wrong with you guys? Walk faster…”
Instantly, the densely packed crowd quickened their pace to catch up with Nash.
Inside the luxury car, Xeno spoke in a low voice, “Mr. Skye, who exactly is this Mr. Nash? I sense a strong aura of killing intent from him!”
Theo opened the sunroof, lit a Cuban cigar, took a puff, and said lightly, “Don’t ask about things you shouldn’t be asking. Nashy’s identity is not something you should be concerned about!”
Upon hearing this, Xeno trembled inwardly. If these words had come from someone else, he wouldn’t have given them much thought. But coming from the successor of the Skye family in Capiton, Xeno knew to take them seriously.
Nash soon arrived in front of Crow. The group of underlings behind Crow immediately took a few steps forward. Crow raised his hand and said, “No need…” His underlings stepped back.
Crow took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth, then pulled out a gun-shaped lighter from his pocket, aiming it at Nash’s head.
Xeno, who was watching from the luxury car, felt his heart race. “Mr. Nash is in danger…”
Theo exhaled smoke toward the sunroof. “It’s Crow who’s in danger. In this world, anyone who dares to point a gun at Nashy is as good as dead!”
At the same time, Nash slowly spoke up, “Where’s Hera?”
Crow, surprised by Nash’s lack of fear, was momentarily bewildered. He released the safety catch and his finger was about to pull the trigger.
Salvatore shouted, “Crow, don’t you dare…”
Crow sneered and pulled the trigger.
Blue flames emerged from the muzzle, with the flames just five centimeters away from Nash’s nose. Nash didn’t flinch, not even blinking.
Salvatore secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he realized the gun in Crow’s hand was a lighter.
Crow lit his cigarette, his expression dark. He looked at Nash with confusion. “What the hell are you?”
Nash enunciated each word with deadly intent. “I’ll ask you again, where is Hera?”
Suddenly, Crow felt a chill crawl down his spine. Looking into Nash’s cold, piercing eyes, an inexplicable sense of dread flooded him. Despite his countless experiences with fights and killings, this was different.
He quickly suppressed his fear and blew a cloud of smoke into Nash’s face, smirking. “I’ve had my fun with Hera… Her body is exquisite…”
Before Crow could say anything else, Nash delivered a punch.
The force of the blow was so intense that Crow’s head exploded like a watermelon dropped from a great height.
The sound of the impact was sickening, and a deathly silence fell over the area.
The members of the Green Bamboo Association and Salvatore’s men stood frozen, their minds struggling to process what they had just witnessed.
Even Xeno, watching from the luxury car, couldn’t help but shiver.
In the underground world, disputes and fights between the major forces might result in severed limbs or injuries, but never anything like this. Seeing a man’s head explode as if it were a squashed watermelon was beyond anything they had ever imagined.
The brutal, gory spectacle left everyone on edge, their scalps tingling with horror.
Theo chuckled softly, shaking his head. “It’s never a good idea to provoke anyone, but he just had to provoke my Nashy!”
In truth, their presence had been unnecessary. Nash had handled the situation with a simple, terrifying finality.
