Chapter 91

Nash alone had utterly wiped out this branch of the Green Bamboo Association.

“You… You killed Crow… Brothers, let us avenge Crow!” A tattooed young man from the Green Bamboo Association yelled at the group of people behind him.

Nash stepped forward, his hand shooting out to grab the youth’s throat, causing the man’s face to turn purple. In a hoarse voice, Nash asked, “Where’s Hera?”

The tattooed young man clenched his jaw, refusing to speak. His eyes showed that he would rather die than give up the information.

Nash tightened his grip, exerting just a little more pressure, and with a sickening crack, the young man’s throat broke.

None of the members of the Green Bamboo Association dared look at Nash after that. He tossed the lifeless body onto the ground, then turned his gaze to the rest of them. His eyes were scarlet with rage.

“If anything happens to her, I’ll make sure you all join him next,” Nash warned.

The members of the Green Bamboo Association trembled, none of them daring to question the fiend’s words.

A young man who had been playing poker on the third floor stuttered, “T-The women are in the basement. T-They… they’re unharmed.”

“Take me to them,” Nash ordered coldly.

The young man, now shaking in fear, could barely muster the strength to walk, but he dragged his limp body to lead Nash to the bar.

“Benson… What… what do we do now?” a porter from a nearby freight company asked, swallowing hard. He had expected a tough battle, not to find the Green Bamboo Association members so terrified they were practically wetting themselves.

Salvatore stood frozen, his jaw hanging open. Was this guy serious? How did he manage to blow someone’s head off with just one punch?

At the bar on the third floor, a thick chain was hung on a heavy iron gate. The young man, still shaking, said, “The key… the key was with Crow…”

Nash didn’t waste time. He reached out, grabbed the iron chain, and with a sharp yank, he tore it off along with the door.

The young man’s pupils dilated in shock before he passed out cold, collapsing to the floor.

Inside the room, Skadi was already dressed. She was sitting on the sofa, holding Hera in her arms. Her dull eyes lit up when she saw Nash. “Nash, you… Why are you here?”

Nash strode up to them, his eyes immediately falling on Hera’s swollen face. He crouched beside the sofa, his voice soft as he whispered, “Are you two alright?”

Skadi quickly shook her head. “I’m fine, but you need to look at Hera.”

Nash gently touched Hera’s neck, his fingers pressing lightly as he felt for her spine. He found it misaligned, causing some nerves to be compressed. “We need to get out of here first.”

He lifted Hera in his arms with ease, then stood up, helping Skadi out of the room.

Once outside, Skadi grabbed both her and Hera’s phones from a drawer on a nearby desk. She glanced out the window and saw the streets were crowded with people. Just then, the sound of sirens filled the air.

Members of the Green Bamboo Association and Salvatore’s men scattered in all directions.

At that moment, a van pulled up to Nash.

“Nash, get in,” Xeno called from the driver’s seat.

The Koenigsegg could only fit three people, so Xeno had borrowed a van from Salvatore. Nash opened the door and got into the van with Skadi.

Xeno quickly shifted into fifth gear, expertly maneuvering the van through the chaotic streets.

A large group of officers rushed out, carrying explosion-proof shields.

Inside a nearby patrol car, a conversation was taking place.

“Chief Menals, there are two dead at the scene. One of them is Crow, and his head is gone,” said a young officer over the radio.

Fitz Menals, deputy head of the Jonford Inspection Office, calmly replied, “Crow’s made many enemies. He even bullied his own subordinates. It’s only fitting that he died from infighting.”

The young officer scratched his head. “It doesn’t look like it was caused by infighting.”

Fitz’s face darkened. “Then arrest everyone from the Green Bamboo Association and interrogate them.”

The young officer snapped back to attention. “Yes, Sir. I’ll finish the report immediately.”
