Chapter 42

Just as Olivia finished speaking, the short-haired beauty’s phone rang from her bag.

She glanced at the screen, and upon seeing the caller ID, her demeanor shifted instantly. “Oli, it’s Mr. Skye calling!”

Olivia took the phone from her, wiping her hand across the screen to answer. “Spit it out,” she said, her tone commanding.

The short-haired beauty couldn’t help but chuckle at Olivia’s unbothered attitude.

On the other end of the line, Theo’s voice came through coldly. Theo was the son of the prestigious Skye family in Capiton, known for his unpredictable temperament. He treated Olivia with a level of respect few others received, but his moods could turn in an instant.

“You didn’t go to the Lewis household yesterday?” Theo’s voice was sharp.

Olivia immediately felt the shift in Theo’s tone and her own arrogance faltered. “Yesterday… There was a major client from abroad, so I got delayed. I’m already at the entrance of the Lewis estate now!” she explained quickly.

“What nonsense! If you dare to disrespect my Nashy, I’ll make sure Drake Group goes bankrupt in minutes!” Theo’s voice was filled with fury, his words cutting through the air like a blade.

“I—”

Before Olivia could finish, the call was abruptly ended.

The short-haired beauty, who had never seen Mr. Skye lose his temper, could feel a bead of cold sweat forming on her own brow. She shot a sympathetic glance at Olivia but remained silent.

Olivia, unfazed, handed the phone back to her assistant. “Let’s go. We need to meet the Lewises… and this Nash guy,” she said absently, already shifting her attention toward the task at hand.

The Skye family was a 300-year-old business dynasty with vast investments across the globe. Theo, with his immense wealth and influence, was notoriously arrogant, and even scions from other prominent families had to approach him with respect. What Olivia found even more unusual was that no one had ever made Theo refer to them with a cute nickname—except for Nash.

The sounds of hurried footsteps interrupted her thoughts as Herman led the Lewis family over to greet them.

“Ms. Olivia, welcome! Please forgive my neglectful welcome!” Herman greeted her, bowing slightly. His voice held a mix of excitement and reverence.

Olivia smiled, extending her hand to him. “Mr. Lewis, you’re too polite. It’s us who are impolite for coming uninvited. Please don’t take offense,” she replied with a cool, gracious tone.

Herman’s heart raced with excitement. Normally, he wouldn’t even dream of meeting someone like Olivia, let alone have the honor of shaking her hand. His emotions surged as the reality of the moment sank in.

His eyes wandered to the rows of supercars parked outside. The sight was staggering—each car gleaming in the sunlight, the lowest priced starting at 700,000 dollars. Several custom-made Koenigseggs stood proudly among them, with their worth pushing nearly 15 million. The Lewises could only gasp in awe at the spectacle.

As expected of the female CEO of one of Jonford’s top ten companies—this display was nothing short of terrifying.

Olivia, ever the professional, extended her hand with grace, and Herman eagerly shook it, trying to remain composed.

“Mr. Lewis, please,” she said smoothly, giving a slight nod in his direction. “Go ahead of me.”

The gesture left the Lewis family speechless, stunned by Olivia’s unexpected humility.

Herman turned to Harrison, his voice full of anticipation. “Harri, go have Maria bring a few more sets of tableware!”

Harrison, without hesitation, dashed off to carry out his instructions, barely able to contain his excitement.

Olivia’s composed smile never wavered as she gestured toward the villa. “Please, after you, Mr. Lewis,” she insisted.

Herman, surprised by her humility, motioned for her to enter first. “No, please, after you,” he insisted, deeply aware of the rarity of this gesture.

Olivia’s behavior continued to surprise the Lewises. She rarely lowered her posture like this. As the family exchanged glances, they were all left wondering what kind of deal might be in the works.

Hera, cautious as ever, leaned toward her mother. “Mom, do you think Ms. Olivia came here to discuss a potential collaboration with us?”

Lauren, her expression thoughtful, sighed quietly. “I’m afraid it’s more likely at the invitation of the Watsons,” she said, her voice tinged with a sense of defeat.

Lauren was well aware of her own family’s standing. Despite their connections, they had only ever secured a modest contract worth four million dollars before.

The question of whether Olivia’s visit was part of something larger weighed heavily on her mind.
