Chapter 84

After the three of them took their seats, the service was nothing short of royal. Beautiful, dedicated waitresses, dressed in elegant attire, served the dishes and poured the drinks with practiced precision.

The liquor being served was worth millions: the rare Gellaward Tribute Spirit.

Nash had attended banquets hosted by national royal families before, so he recognized the expensive nature of such events. However, even he had to admit that the quality of this evening’s feast was extraordinary.

Theo and Olivia each raised a toast to Nash. “Nash, this is wild beluga sturgeon caviar that’s been aged for 300 years…”

Theo then personally served Nash a small spoonful of the caviar. It was exquisite—full, round, and glimmering with a translucent, golden sheen that was characteristic of top-tier caviar. Even someone like Nash, who had attended some of the most extravagant gatherings, couldn’t suppress a slight twitch of his eyelids.

The most expensive caviar he’d ever tasted had been from the royal family of Arrania—a century-old wild beluga sturgeon, worth thirty thousand dollars per gram. But this 300-year-old caviar could easily fetch fifty thousand dollars for just this small spoonful.

Nash picked up the spoon and tasted it lightly. The caviar was delicate, tender, and smooth, with just the right hint of brine. As he swallowed, the flavor spread through his senses, lingering like an imprint etched into his very soul.

After savoring some other luxurious delicacies, Nash finally turned to Theo. “Didn’t you say you had important news to tell me?”

He wasn’t fooled by the extravagant meal. Theo’s “important news” was likely connected to the incident at Young Family Village.

Theo took a long sip of the Gellaward Tribute Spirit before speaking, glancing at Olivia. “Darling, could you excuse us for a moment?”

Olivia, with a quiet nod, stood and left the private room without protest.

Once she was gone, Theo’s expression grew serious. “Based on the clues I’ve uncovered, two Jonford families were involved in the arson at Young Family Village…”

The glass Nash had been holding suddenly shattered in his hand, a wave of icy killing intent filling the private room.

Theo felt a chill wash over him as he continued, “This information came from my grandfather, who extracted it from an old lunatic from the Kleins family. Unfortunately, the man was unstable, so we couldn’t get much more from him… This afternoon, that lunatic jumped off a building and committed suicide. My grandfather thinks the Kleins may already be suspicious of us. Nashy… I want to help you see this through, but the Kleins are just too powerful.”

By the end of his words, Theo’s head hung low in shame.

Though both the Skye and Kleins families were top-tier powerhouses in Capiton, the Skyes were still no match for the Kleins’ overwhelming strength.

Nash took a deep breath, forcing a smile. “You’ve already done more than enough. I’ll handle the rest on my own.”

The Skye family was an ancient martial family, but that alone wouldn’t explain why Nash’s master had concealed his identity and enemies from him. It wasn’t the martial practitioners who were truly terrifying—it was the cultivators.

Theo raised his glass and took a hearty gulp. Six years ago, perhaps he would have been more enthusiastic in helping Nash. But now, as he grew older and assumed more responsibility in the family business, his focus had shifted. He had his own family affairs to think about, especially with the Skye and Lee families to consider.

A waiter approached, replenishing their glasses, and filled Theo’s glass as well.

Nash lifted his glass and smiled. “I understand your situation, Theo. You don’t need to blame yourself. I’ll always remember your kindness.”

If it hadn’t been for Theo, Nash would still be in the dark about his true identity.

Theo raised his glass and clinked it against Nash’s. “Besides this matter, I can definitely help you with anything else, Nashy!”

Nash returned the smile and drank the contents of his glass in one swift motion.

Just as he finished, his phone buzzed persistently in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw that WhatsApp notifications had filled the entire screen.

Unlocking the phone, he opened WhatsApp and saw over thirty unread messages in a group chat titled ‘Happy Family.’

His frown deepened as he scanned the messages. They were all from Harrison and Lauren, urging Hera to call them back immediately.

Without wasting another moment, Nash dialed Hera’s number.
