Chapter 54

Nash’s gloves were drenched in blood as he turned to the nurses. “Prepare for a blood transfusion.”

Given that the Watson family had prepared a private ward for the madam, they must have stocked up on her blood type.

Without hesitation, one nurse rushed to a secure cabinet and retrieved two bags of blood, while another scrambled to gather gauze and surgical tools.

The suddenness of Nash’s orders left the staff reeling. He was acting as if he were preparing for surgery without offering much explanation.

The Watsons exchanged worried glances.

Queenie approached her grandfather and whispered, “Grandpa, are you really not worried about this guy performing surgery on Grandma?”

The way Nash had used the scalpel on her grandmother’s wrist earlier did not resemble any normal medical procedure.

“Then why don’t you treat her yourself?” Walter’s sharp voice cut through the tension as he glared at Queenie. Despite Nash’s unusual methods, he had at least identified the parasitic bugs that had slipped past even the X-rays.

Meanwhile, the nurses efficiently carried out the blood transfusion, their movements swift and practiced, indicative of professional training.

Nash cut off the old lady’s sleeve with a pair of scissors. He then placed two fingers on her shoulder, gently pressing down as he moved them towards her wrist.

With every motion, small white bugs dropped into the tray.

The sight was grotesque. The stainless steel tray quickly filled with flesh, blood, and wriggling parasites.

A shiver ran through everyone in the room at the sight of the squirming bugs. Queenie’s face turned pale. She stepped back and retreated to her parents’ side, seeking comfort.

Nash moved on, cutting open the old lady’s other wrist, then both her ankles. Finally, he made an incision at the top of her skull.

The sight became too much for the Watsons to bear. One by one, they left the room, unable to watch the bloody procedure any longer.

Walter averted his gaze, his face strained with emotion. He loved his wife deeply and had spared no expense in trying to find the best doctors for her.

In the past few years, he had brought in top medical teams from both the country and abroad, hoping for a breakthrough. He had donated billions to medical research, believing that his charitable actions would somehow aid in her recovery.

But nothing had worked.

Walter had even paid Brian a hefty sum—30 million—just to bring Nash in for this treatment. On top of that, he had offered 100 million dollars as compensation for Kai’s previous behavior. Nash had requested another 100 million in consultation fees, to which Walter had agreed without hesitation, driven by his desperate hope that his wife would awaken.

Brian, noticing Walter’s troubled expression, offered him a reassuring smile. “Mr. Watson, don’t worry. My grandmaster will definitely heal the madam.”

Walter nodded, his expression a mixture of hope and melancholy. He glanced briefly at Nash, his gaze darkening.

After making his wife endure so much, Walter would make sure Nash didn’t leave the residence alive if his wife failed to wake up. He had invested everything in this, and the outcome was now entirely in Nash’s hands.

Brian, sensing the shift in Walter’s demeanor, tensed. He knew how much Walter respected both him and his grandmaster due to the dire need to treat his wife. If Nash failed, the consequences would be grave for both of them.

Brian wiped the cold sweat from his brow, silently praying for Nash’s success.

Three long hours passed. The nurses had nearly fainted several times, their nerves fraying as Nash’s unorthodox procedures continued.

Using tweezers, Nash had carefully extracted more than a dozen small bugs from the old lady’s skull before finally closing the incision.

One of the nurses hesitated, her voice shaky. “We need specialized tools to suture the skull.”

“Let me do it,” Nash replied without hesitation.

He took the needle and thread, effortlessly piercing the skull with precision. His speed and efficiency left the nurses dumbfounded.
