Chapter 83

Theo enthusiastically introduced Olivia to Nash, eager for the two to meet.

Olivia, still slightly dazed, snapped back to reality at Theo’s urging. He raised an eyebrow and asked, “Aren’t you going to say hello to Nash?”

Shaking herself out of her trance, Olivia gave a small start before offering, “H-Hello, Nash!”

Nash gave a faint smile and replied, “Hello, Ms. Lee. Thank you for helping Hera and her family.”

Olivia, quick to respond, said, “You’re too polite, Nash. It’s the least we could do!”

She had learned from Theo the previous night about Nash’s connection to the Skyes. Years ago, Nash had helped eliminate a dangerous foreign threat that could have devastated the Skyes. If it weren’t for Nash’s intervention, the Skyes would have suffered a catastrophic loss.

Back then, the Drake Group was still under the Skyes’ control. Without the Skyes’ influence, the Drake Group would not have achieved its current status.

As Olivia processed this information, she found herself even more stunned. Nash, appearing no older than his early 20s now, had helped the Skyes about six years ago. At that time, he had been just 17 or 18 years old.

The realization made her pause, her breath catching in her throat. The man in front of her was far more terrifying than she had ever imagined.

Theo, noticing the growing silence, smiled and said, “Let’s go upstairs for the meal. The dishes will get cold if we wait too long.” He gestured for Olivia to lead the way while walking alongside Nash.

As they made their way to the elevator, Theo’s concern for his friend became evident. “Is your injury better now, Nashy?”

Theo had arrived earlier that day to find the bodies already removed. After a few more drinks at the banquet, he had fallen asleep until evening. When he woke, Olivia had filled him in on the details of the day’s events.

Theo was well aware of Nash’s strength. Six years ago, Nash had already reached stage eight of the grandmaster level. Given the passage of time, Nash’s abilities had likely surpassed even that. For him to still be injured suggested that those assassins were no ordinary foes.

“I’m alright now,” Nash replied calmly.

Theo let out a relieved breath. “Uncle Philix is quite something. He left the Northern Territory without even bringing a single bodyguard!”

Nash raised an eyebrow. “The Uncle Philix you’re referring to… is he the warden?”

Theo nodded. “Yes, the Northern Territory’s Warden, Philix Xing. He’s been on the battlefield for more than 20 years and has achieved great things. But Nashy, as the warden’s personal bodyguard, why don’t you know his name?”

Nash’s expression remained stoic. “My mission is to protect the warden. I have no right to inquire about his personal information.”

Theo gave a knowing nod. “That’s true. You’re a top-notch professional killer, always dedicated to your duty!” He then shifted the topic. “By the way, will there be any updates to your KDA on the dark web?”

Although Theo had access to a powerful intelligence network, he didn’t have the authority to access the Killer Leaderboard.

Nash explained, “After a dark web assassin completes a mission, they submit it in the task panel. Once the employer confirms the task, the assassin receives their commission, and the KDA is updated in the system.”

As they continued their conversation, the trio arrived at the eighth floor and entered private room number 88, a space exclusively reserved for the Skyes.

At the entrance stood two identical twins, both stage five grandmaster bodyguards. They were nearly identical in height, weight, and appearance, their matching hairstyles and facial features a clear giveaway that they were twins.

“Mr. Skye, Mr. Nash,” they greeted, bowing their heads in unison.

After Theo nodded in acknowledgment, he led Nash into the room.

Inside, the large round table was set with 108 dishes—a lavish and extravagant spread that looked more like an imperial banquet than a casual meal.

Nash’s mouth twitched at the sight. “Is anyone else coming?”

Theo, sensing Nash’s disapproval of the lavish spread, gave a sheepish smile. “I’ll have any leftovers packed and delivered to the sanitation workers later…”
