Chapter 124
“Me? I’ve been in ten relationships!”

Hera said with a playful glint in her eyes.

Nash smirked slightly, his gaze teasing. “I almost believed you… A woman who’s been in ten relationships wouldn’t have trembled last night while sleeping with a man.”
The moment he said it, Hera’s face flushed crimson as memories of the night before rushed back to her. But before she could respond, her phone rang, breaking the tension.
It was Lauren calling.
“Hera, how’s the implementation of the recruitment plan at the branch?” Lauren’s voice was direct.
“I’ve just approved it. We can start large-scale recruitment tomorrow!” Hera replied, leaning back in her chair.
“Good. Drake Group has already prepaid a deposit of 1.5 billion. We need to increase production as soon as possible!” Lauren’s tone was urgent.
“I got it already. How’s Dad’s injury?” Hera asked, her concern palpable.
“It’s just a superficial wound. Don’t worry about it!” Lauren reassured her. “By the way, do you and Nash have any plans tonight? If you’re both free, come over to the Lewis family estate for dinner!”
Hera turned to Nash, who was seated beside her. “Do you have any plans tonight? My mom has invited us for dinner at the Lewis family estate.”
Nash, with a smile, shook his head. “I don’t. Let’s go back together tonight.”
“Mom, Nash and I will be coming over tonight!” Hera spoke into the phone before finishing the call.
As she hung up, she turned to Nash. “We’ve tried several times to have Grandpa drink your herbal medicine, but every time Uncle’s family intervenes. That’s why Grandpa hasn’t regained his memory yet.”
Her voice softened with longing. “I really want him to get his memory back. Only then can you truly have a place in the Lewis household.”
Nash smiled faintly. “Truth can’t be covered by lies. They might manage to deceive for a while, but not forever.”
Hera’s face lit up with excitement as she clenched her fist. “Right! We’ll eventually defeat Helena!”
With the company preparing to increase production, Hera soon had to return to her office. Meanwhile, Nash decided to call Theo. Tomorrow was Hera’s birthday, and although she had postponed it, Nash was determined to go ahead with the celebration as planned.
He needed a diamond card for the occasion, and Theo agreed without hesitation.
In the afternoon, Hera was busy with eight consecutive meetings, leaving Nash with some free time. Feeling a bit restless, he decided to take a walk around the company, checking for any potential safety hazards. As he strolled, white-collar workers couldn’t help but stare at him, swooning over his good looks. However, when they learned he was the CEO’s boyfriend, they quickly quieted, not wanting to make it obvious they were fascinated by him.
Later, just before the end of the workday, Nash received a delivery. It was a black membership card from the Chateau Hotel.
The card was engraved with his name, Nash Calcraft, in pure gold. Nash frowned.

Wasn’t this supposed to be a diamond card?

He felt a sense of unease but didn’t dwell on it. He slipped the card into his pocket without another thought. As the workday neared its end, Nash figured he’d wait for Hera outside. Instead of heading back to his office, he drove her Maserati to the front door and parked.
With some time to kill, Nash got out of the car and lit a cigarette, checking his phone. He dialed Skadi.
“Nash… why are you calling me?” Skadi’s voice crackled through.
“Tomorrow’s Hera’s birthday, and I want—” Nash started.
“Didn’t Hera postpone her birthday?” Skadi interrupted.
“My girlfriend’s birthday can’t be postponed!” Nash replied with a grin.
“So what do you want to do?” Skadi asked, intrigued.
Just as Nash was about to respond, he saw Hera laughing and chatting with a few managers as they walked out of the building.
