Chapter 145
Go and tell Black Widow that if she fails to take down Bianca, I won’t let her go back to Frelden!” Kai’s voice was laced with a dangerous edge, his tone cold and commanding.
Duncan chuckled lightly. “Kai, take it easy. If Bianca wins the Phoenix Crown, we’ll pocket 46 billion.”
Kai’s frown deepened, his thoughts racing. “What about the Tiger vs. Phoenix Championship? What happens if we don’t have Black Widow on our side?”
Duncan glanced at him, unfazed. “Won’t we still have Bianca?”
Kai’s jaw tightened. “If Bianca wins the final championship, it could cause problems for the young lady.”
Duncan’s gaze shifted, locking onto Helena, his expression calm but scrutinizing.
“What are you saying, Mr. Duncan?” Helena’s voice dripped with suspicion. “Do you think I’m stupid?”
She shot him a blank stare. Of course, she wasn’t going to let Kai sacrifice such a large sum of money just because of her own personal feelings.
In the ring, Bianca’s punches were growing more vicious, and Black Widow, who had once held the upper hand, was becoming increasingly panicked. The intensity of Bianca’s boxing style was triggering something deep inside her—a haunting reminder of someone from her past.
Her father’s old enemy, Mike Thorson. These were his tactics, especially those brutal combination punches. Black Widow’s pupils dilated as fear gripped her heart. She couldn’t escape the terrifying memories that now flooded her mind.
Bianca lunged forward with a straight punch, breaking through Black Widow’s defense with unrelenting force.
Stumbling backward, Black Widow barely had time to react before Bianca unleashed another three rapid combinations of punches, one after another.
The scoreboard flashed—42:42.
Black Widow was helpless, defenseless.
With a final surge of energy, Bianca charged, landing a fierce punch to Black Widow’s face.
The force of the blow sent Black Widow flying out of the ring, landing motionless on the floor.
Bianca, too, was spent, collapsing in the center of the ring, breathless and drenched in sweat.
The arena fell silent. Even the referee stood frozen, stunned by the dramatic turn of events. Thirty seconds passed before he regained his composure. He stepped forward, took Bianca’s hand, and raised it high, blowing the whistle to signal the victory.
“She won, she won! Bianca won!” he announced to the crowd, his voice filled with astonishment.
Skadi’s hands trembled with excitement, while Hera, teary-eyed, clutched Bianca in a tight embrace. The two women rushed to the ring, their joy infectious as they hugged Bianca fiercely.
The fans in the audience erupted into cheers, their screams of joy filling the air.
The host, holding a microphone, beamed at the crowd. “We’ve just witnessed an unexpected twist. I honestly wouldn’t have believed Black Widow could be defeated by Bianca if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. This final has been the most thrilling one in the three years I’ve hosted the Phoenix Crown! Boxing fans from all over the world will surely find this trip worthwhile.”
He turned toward the stage, his voice booming, “Now, let’s invite the young owner of Dragon Might Boxing Center, Mr. Kai Watson, heir to Capiton’s wealthiest family, to present the championship award!”
Thunderous applause rippled through the crowd.
Kai, however, was anything but pleased. His face was dark with frustration.
Just moments earlier, the Mandagor entertainment company had withdrawn a staggering 46 billion dollars. The two individuals who had completed the transaction were Nash and Theo.
Nash, with a wide grin on his face, checked his account information, which now showed more than 12 billion in his possession.
Meanwhile, Theo, thousands of miles away in Capiton, was celebrating his own victory. His account balance had surged by more than 40 billion in a single day, a sum that surpassed his family’s peak annual net profit.
Yet, despite the windfall, there was one catch: Nash had insisted that the entire amount be donated to the impoverished mountainous regions in the name of charity.
“Miss Yarrow!”
“Mr. Theo.”
“Transfer 46 billion to the mountainous area from my personal account, in Nash’s name, immediately. I mean immediately.”
“46 billion… using your account, Sir? In Nash’s name?” His secretary’s face turned pale with shock.
Theo raised an eyebrow, unfazed, and lit a cigar, exhaling slowly. “Is there a problem?”
He wasn’t bothered by the donation. After all, he was contributing six billion of his own money, and though he was losing a small fortune, it was hardly anything that would make a dent in his wealth.
“Right away, Sir!” the secretary replied hastily, scrambling to fulfill his request.
