Chapter 158
Sienna let out a breath of relief after ending the call with Theo. Her taut nerves relaxed as the overwhelming panic she had felt moments before, thinking she needed to host Kai Watson, began to subside. But just as her mind started to settle, she heard an eager voice that immediately jolted her attention back into high alert.
“Nash… help me get an autograph from Sienna!” Skadi tugged on Nash’s sleeve, speaking louder than necessary, her nerves evident.
Sienna’s nerves returned almost instantly at the mention of Nash’s name. She had only just managed to regain some composure, and now this.
Nash raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement tugging at his lips. “Why don’t you want to do it yourself?”
Skadi rolled her eyes, her voice dropping slightly. “You’re a guy, and you’re decent-looking. There’s no way Sienna would say no to you. Besides, she’s an A-list celebrity. Countless men would love to get this close to her. Take your shot while her bodyguards aren’t around!”
“No, I won’t!” Nash replied firmly, stuffing his hands into his pockets, clearly not interested in playing along. He was in no mood to indulge in such requests.
Skadi’s eyes gleamed with mischief, and she leaned closer to him, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “I bet you didn’t know that Sienna is Hera’s favorite celebrity. If you get her an autographed picture of Sienna, she’ll be so happy. Who knows? She might even be so grateful that she’ll say yes to… other things tonight.”
Nash raised an eyebrow at that. A slight temptation flickered in his eyes, but he shook his head in disbelief. “You’re something else.”
Before Skadi could press further, Hera, who had been standing off to the side with her parents, walked over. She shot Skadi a questioning glance. “What are you guys muttering about?”
“Nothing! Just… uh, nothing at all!” Skadi stammered, laughing nervously.
Just then, Sienna walked over with her assistant. Skadi’s eyes widened, and she nearly jumped with excitement. “Holy crap, Sienna Lowe is walking over to us!”
She grabbed Nash’s arm in a panic. “Quick, Nash, go ask for an autographed picture!”
Hera, equally captivated by Sienna’s presence, muttered under her breath, “Get two of them. I want one too!”
“If you can manage it… I would like one as well!” Bianca, who had been aloof up until now, chimed in. She had an expression of quiet admiration on her face, and her eyes shone as she glanced at Sienna. She had followed Sienna’s career closely and was one of her many fans.
Nash, speechless at the growing crowd of requests, shook his head but reluctantly grabbed a pen and some paper from Lauren.
“Nashy… um… please get me one too!” Harrison grinned, rubbing his hands together in excitement.
When Laura shot him a cold, disapproving look, Harrison quickly added with a sheepish smile, “I… I was planning on giving it to you!”
Laura scoffed. “I’ve outgrown that. Why would I care about having a signed picture?”
Ignoring the banter, Nash took the pen and paper and walked over to where Sienna was standing. His heart beat a little faster than usual as he approached the famous celebrity.
“Excuse me, are you Mr. Nash Calcraft?” Sienna asked, her voice gentle and polite.
Nash was caught off guard by the question. “Yes, I am Nash Calcraft,” he replied with a smile, handing her the pen and paper.
Sienna’s heart skipped a beat. The man standing before her owned one of the Chateau Hotel’s platinum membership cards. Her mind raced as she tried to place him—who exactly was he? Why did he not have a bodyguard or assistant with him?
Sienna’s gaze lingered on Nash as her thoughts raced. She had been too distracted to notice the significance of his presence earlier, but now it all came flooding back. This was no ordinary guest. This was a VIP, one who could easily be one of the most powerful figures she had encountered.
“Ms. Lowe?” Nash’s voice broke through her thoughts, drawing her attention back to the present.
Sienna blinked, momentarily startled by his question. “Oh! Sorry, I—” she hesitated, then quickly apologized. “My mind was wandering. Yes, of course, I’ll sign that for you.”
But before she could finish, Wendy, her assistant, hurried over and stepped between them. “Sienna has no time for any fans today!” Wendy said sharply, blocking Sienna from continuing.
Sienna’s eyelids fluttered, and her voice softened in an attempt to calm the situation. “Don’t be rude, Wendy. He’s the VIP guest I’m hosting today!” She quickly reassured her assistant, making it clear that Nash was not to be treated as just another fan.
Wendy looked a bit sheepish but still hovered protectively near Sienna, eyes narrowing at Nash. The tension in the air was palpable as everyone around them seemed to await the next move.
