Chapter 157
“Ms. Lowe, did my grandfather invite you here tonight?” Kai asked politely, his voice calm but with a hint of curiosity.
Sienna smiled sweetly, her voice as melodious as a nightingale’s song. “Who is your grandfather?”
An embarrassed look flashed across Kai’s face. He straightened up and answered, “My grandfather is Walter Watson, the richest man in Jonford!”
Sienna’s smile didn’t waver, but she shook her head. “I don’t know him.”
Kai’s embarrassment deepened. His face flushed slightly as he tried again, “Then, were you invited by the Chateau Hotel?”
“Yes, that’s right,” Sienna responded with a soft, sweet smile. “The Lowe family holds shares in the Chateau Hotel, and the chairman specifically asked me to help host a revered VIP guest tonight. I believe it’s his girlfriend’s birthday.”
As the words left her mouth, a buzz of excitement rippled through the Lewis family. They all exchanged glances, trying to process what they had just heard. The revered VIP guest… could that possibly be Kai? Did that mean Helena was the guest’s girlfriend?
“You’ve brought so much honor to the Lewis family name, Helena!” one relative exclaimed, a broad smile on their face.
“Indeed! I never thought the Lewis family would get to experience such glory!” another chimed in.
“Hubert, Rooney, you have a wonderful daughter!” someone else added, their voice filled with admiration.
Hubert and Rooney grinned from ear to ear, clearly basking in the compliments. Their pride was evident, and they couldn’t have looked happier.
Kai, seeing the momentary swell of pride in his family, pulled out a purple-colored membership card from his wallet. “I am that guest you were referring to,” he said with a small smile, holding the card up for Sienna to see. “This is the Chateau Hotel’s premium membership card!”
Then, turning to Helena, he introduced her with a gentle nod. “This is my girlfriend, Helena. She’s the birthday girl you’re hosting tonight!”
Helena’s face flushed a deep shade of red from excitement. Her voice trembled slightly as she greeted Sienna. “Hello, Sienna. I’m honored to have you host us tonight!”
This was, without a doubt, the most memorable birthday Helena had ever had. Tomorrow, everyone would know that a famous celebrity had hosted her birthday party. The media would surely cover it, and her company, Rococo Technology, would undoubtedly benefit from the publicity.
But there was something in Sienna’s gaze that seemed to shift as she looked at the membership card in Kai’s hand. Her expression flickered with a trace of suspicion.
Sienna’s thoughts raced. Had her family not instructed her to host a guest with a platinum membership card? The Chateau Hotel’s highest-level members indeed received purple-colored premium membership cards, but there were also in-house platinum membership cards.
Only twelve platinum cards existed, and they were issued to the most influential individuals in the world. Four had gone to the superpower country leaders. Each of the four wardens of the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western territories had one. The three most powerful ancient martial arts families also held one card each. Among the remaining two, one belonged to Francis, the second disciple of Master Calcraft. The other had been with the Skye family for the longest time.
Sienna knew all this because her family had direct connections to the Chateau Hotel, and she was well aware of the distinction between the premium purple cards and the coveted platinum ones.
As she pondered, she quickly composed herself and smiled politely. “Please give me a moment, Mr. Watson. I’ll make a quick call to double-check.”
She turned on her heel and made her way toward the front desk, where two attendants were on duty. One of them was the same person she had seen yesterday, but the other was a good-looking girl with short hair who looked as though she might fall asleep at any moment. That was Wendy Zeller, Sienna’s manager and personal assistant.
“Wendy, pass me my phone!” Sienna called out.
“Huh?” Wendy blinked, clearly startled from her near-sleep state. “Oh, alright…”
She quickly rummaged through one of the drawers and retrieved a custom-made Louis Vuitton bag, its zippers studded with diamonds. She unzipped the bag and pulled out Sienna’s phone.
Sienna took the phone, her delicate brows furrowing. “Look at the time! How can you fall asleep?”
Wendy yawned and stuck her tongue out. “You spent the whole night filming, and I didn’t get any sleep either. I’m just so sleepy!”
Sienna rolled her eyes and dialed her grandfather’s number. However, he wasn’t able to provide a definitive answer. Instead, he gave her Theo’s number.
“Mr. Skye,” Sienna said as she called Theo, “are you sure they have a platinum membership card?”
Theo’s voice came through confidently. “I’m sure of it. The cardholder’s name is Nash Calcraft, and his girlfriend is Hera Lewis.”
Sienna paused. “Oh, right. I also heard that Kai Watson, the heir of the Watson family from Jonford, will be dining there tonight with his girlfriend. Make sure you don’t mix them up!”
Theo’s voice took on a more practical tone. “Never mind, I’ll just have someone escort them out. That way, Nash won’t be bothered.”
Sienna’s lips curled into a smile, but her mind was already racing. She couldn’t afford any mistakes, and she was determined to keep things running smoothly. She just hoped she could manage to do so without causing a scene.
