That morning, Olivia felt restless and bored. She switched on the TV in the living room, usually watching entertainment news just for distraction. A book lay open in her hands as she flipped through the pages.
Suddenly, a shocking report caught her attention. She looked up so abruptly that the book slipped from her fingers and fell onto the carpet with a loud thud, startling her.
Ana entered from the greenhouse and immediately noticed the disturbing images flashing on the screen.
The news was spreading fast across the country.
Meanwhile, Claude had left his house that morning. Soon after, his assistant called him urgently. “Mr. Claude, you need to check your phone right now.”
Without hesitation, Claude obeyed. His phone soon lit up with a flood of alerts.
Olivia’s eyes remained fixed on the TV, but then she sensed someone standing at the door. Turning, she saw Ana quietly watching the broadcast as well, her lips pressed tightly together in silent concern.
Olivia had always believed Morgan’s death was a tragic suicide—just a desperate leap from a building. But now, the story was far more complicated. The allegation that Claude had assaulted Morgan shocked her deeply.
