Chapter 453

“We’re going back to the Harris Group,” Tyler announced abruptly.

Linda studied his serious expression and replied softly, “Got it.”

She quickly informed the driver. The car fell into silence as Tyler remained quiet throughout the ride.

About thirty minutes later, the vehicle pulled up in front of the Harris Group building.

Inside another car nearby, Olivia sat waiting. It had been over an hour since Ana’s call, and uncertainty gnawed at her. How much longer would she have to wait? The air inside the car had grown stuffy, making her feel slightly suffocated.

Suddenly, the driver glanced ahead. “Looks like Mr. Tyler’s car is back.”

Olivia turned her gaze just in time to see Tyler’s car pulling up beside them. She gave no visible reaction, but the driver looked toward her for a response.

Tyler stepped out of the car, his sharp eyes immediately locking onto Olivia’s window.

Knowing she had to get out, Olivia pushed the door open and stepped down carefully. Tyler observed her every move with calculated intent.

Unaware that it was Ana’s call that had forced Tyler’s early return, Olivia felt compelled to speak first. “Um, I’m here to bring you some tea.”

Their quiet exchange caught the attention of nearby onlookers.

Tyler responded curtly, “Let’s talk upstairs.”

Without another word, he headed toward the building, and after a brief hesitation, Olivia followed.

Upon entering, the receptionist greeted Tyler warmly. “Welcome back, Mr. Tyler!”

He ignored the pleasantry and marched straight toward the elevator.

“Um, sir? Mrs. Harris’ afternoon tea was just delivered,” the receptionist added hastily.

Pausing for a moment, Tyler said sharply, “Give it to me.”

The receptionist glanced at Olivia with a puzzled expression. Why was Mrs. Harris’ tea being delivered now? And why was Tyler accompanied by Olivia?

Feeling the receptionist’s questioning gaze, Olivia subtly stepped closer to Tyler.

Another attendant soon brought the basket over. “Here you go.”

Tyler took the basket silently. Then, showing a rare gesture of respect toward Olivia, he said, “Come on.”

Olivia followed him into the cramped elevator, Linda trailing just behind. The tight space felt almost suffocating.

Olivia kept her gaze fixed downward, while Tyler’s eyes were locked on the elevator doors.

The tension in the air was nearly tangible, pressing heavily on Olivia, though she forced herself to remain composed.

Tyler finally glanced at her shadow and said with a sharp edge, “So… you’re just going to do whatever she tells you now?”

Confused, Olivia looked up, trying to understand his meaning.

With a sigh, Tyler said, “Let’s go.”

The elevator doors slid open.
