Chapter 472

Tyler asked Camilla to see the doctor off, leaving only him and Olivia in the room. He carefully examined the medicine before nodding in approval. “Take this.”

Olivia remained silent.

He brought a glass of water toward her, but she quickly said, “I can do it myself.”

What she meant was she didn’t want him feeding her.

Ignoring her words, Tyler didn’t even look her way as he took out the pill and placed it in her hand.

Sitting on the bed, Olivia hesitated, staring down at the medicine.

Noticing her pause, Tyler glanced at her and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Will it really not affect the baby?”

“Don’t you know that, considering your background in medicine?” he replied.

Olivia had studied medicine, but when it came to matters close to her heart, she felt confused and unsure.

If the fever wouldn’t harm the baby, she’d rather endure the discomfort herself.

“Take it,” Tyler softened his tone.

After a long moment of thought, she took the pill from his palm and slipped it into her mouth.

Tyler handed her the glass of water, watching her frown slightly. “Take it with water.”

Cooperating, she swallowed the pill.

Once the medicine was down, Olivia steadied her breathing. “I’m okay, Tyler. You don’t have to stay tonight.”

Feeling some strength returning, she started to pull away.

Tyler’s eyes hardened at her words.

Just then, Camilla entered. “Why don’t I take care of her tonight, sir? You haven’t had time to rest since coming back from the fishing village.”

In truth, she was gently reminding him of his responsibilities.

Understanding the implication, Tyler ignored her and said, “Go rest.”

He meant he would stay and look after Olivia.

Camilla stared at him, clearly surprised.

Tyler turned to the window and opened it, letting in fresh air.

Camilla chose not to press further and quietly left.

Silence settled over the room.

Olivia sat uneasily on the bed, while Tyler settled on the couch.

The black suit he still wore from the event made him appear stern and unyielding, especially with his expression unreadable.

She didn’t know what to do and kept her head bowed.

Tyler’s voice broke the silence, calm but firm: “Sleep now. I’ll take you to the hospital if your fever doesn’t break tomorrow.”

Olivia nodded and lay down, restless and uncomfortable.

She curled onto her side, cradling her growing belly, her back turned to him.

From his spot, Tyler watched her slender back.

Without the curve of her tummy visible, she didn’t look pregnant.

But lately, her belly had been growing fast.
