Chapter 460

Olivia glanced back and froze the moment she recognized the figure.

Since the company chaos, aside from a brief phone call, this was her first encounter with Claude.

Tyler acted swiftly, handing the candle to the priest before turning sharply toward the door. His voice echoed firmly through the quiet church.

“Claude.”

Claude remained focused on Olivia, his gaze warm and tender, unyielding even in the sacred space.

Tyler stood rigid, taken aback by Claude’s audacity to stare at his wife like that. A grim shadow crossed his faint smile.

“Mr. Pearce,” Linda called out firmly, breaking the tension.

Only then did Claude finally tear his gaze from Olivia to acknowledge Tyler. He returned the greeting with a smile.

“Tyler.”

Tyler stood motionless, offering no reply, his eyes still cold and guarded.

Olivia remained rooted to the spot, unsure what to do.

Beside Claude, Lionel whispered, “Why is Mr. Harris here, Claude? Should we join them?”

Claude glanced at him before nodding. “Let’s go greet them.”

They both approached.

Stopping before Tyler, Claude smiled lightly.

“What a coincidence to meet here.”

His eyes shifted toward Olivia.

“It’s been a while, Mrs. Harris. How have you been?”

His gaze brimmed with genuine care and affection, emotions clearly visible.

Olivia’s palms began to sweat, and she silently took a step back, saying nothing.

“We’re not strangers. She’s your wife,” Tyler interjected sharply.

Claude chuckled softly.

“She’s like family to me. Maybe I should call her by her endearment.”

Tyler gave a faint, strained smile before turning to Linda.

“Olivia isn’t feeling well. Take her to the car.”

He gently ushered Olivia away from Claude.

Linda approached and led Olivia toward the exit.

“Let’s head to the car. The priest will finish here.”

As Olivia turned to leave, Claude suddenly reached out and grasped her wrist.

Everyone froze—especially Tyler, whose smile disappeared completely.

“Mr. Pearce!” Linda exclaimed, shocked by his boldness.

Olivia met Claude’s gaze, her eyes wide.

Ignoring Linda and the confused onlookers, Claude spoke softly,

“You dropped something.”

Olivia lowered her gaze and instinctively reached for her neck—it was then she realized her necklace had slipped off and fallen to the floor.

The moment she noticed, Claude released her wrist.

She glanced at him briefly before retrieving the necklace. Holding it close, she murmured,

“Thank you, Mr. Pearce.”

Lionel watched the scene with skepticism.

Tyler’s expression remained hard; if anything, his eyes grew colder.
