Chapter 440

“I can’t do anything if that’s what you think,” Olivia said with a defeated look.

Tyler studied her face carefully, then gently reached out to touch her cheeks. “Olivia, you’ve grown braver. Did Claude teach you that?”

Olivia turned her head away slightly, avoiding his gaze.

Tyler paused, captivated by her long, dark eyelashes that framed her small oval face—making her even more striking in the confined space.

She wasn’t trying to tempt him, yet somehow, she was irresistible—like a delicious cake inviting a bite. Suddenly, he understood why Ana had sent her here.

He caught her subtle scent and felt a strong urge to hold her close, but instead, he traced a light finger down her cheek to her chin.

Olivia felt the intensity of his gaze and sensed something shifting between them. Anxiety flickered inside her as she wanted to pull away.

But Tyler held her firmly and whispered, “I should control myself, Olivia.”

A moment later, he leaned so close that she could feel his warm breath on her skin. Enchanted and barely able to resist, he pressed a soft kiss to her pink lips.

Olivia hadn’t expected it. Startled, she pushed him away quickly and turned her face aside, asking frantically, “What are you doing?”

Even with her hand between them, he didn’t back off. His lips still brushed the corner of hers. “Don’t you know what I’m doing? Weren’t you tempting me? Did you want to see me lose control? Then why are you trying to pull away now?”

He tightened his hold around her waist.

Though pregnant, Olivia’s figure was still slender. Her growing belly made her waist look even smaller, and the slight curves only added to her allure.

Tyler kissed her again, deeper this time. Olivia struggled and whispered, “If you know Ana sent me here, you should let me go.”

His dazed expression snapped away instantly. He froze, his forehead resting lightly against hers, attuned to the rapid beat of her heart and her quickening breaths.

Olivia seemed to surrender completely, sitting back on his lap and lowering her head, motionless.

Their faces were inches apart, but she kept her gaze downcast while he frowned, frustrated that even this close, their eyes refused to meet.
