Chapter 438

Tyler didn’t answer Olivia’s words; instead, his gaze remained fixed coldly on the food laid out before him.

Later, they all headed to a golf course, and Olivia, despite her exhaustion, followed along. She was so tired that dizziness crept in, but she stubbornly fought to stay awake.

As they stepped onto the course, Tyler finally spoke, his voice low and indifferent, “You should rest.”

The men accompanying them paused and glanced at Olivia, their eyes making her feel uneasy and exposed.

Tyler’s cold expression didn’t waver as he continued walking ahead. Olivia wasn’t sure if he wanted her to stop trailing behind or if his irritation stemmed from Ana’s insistence that he bring her along.

Lost in these thoughts, Olivia almost didn’t hear Linda’s gentle offer, “I can rest with you at the pavilion.”

She nodded gratefully. “Okay,” she replied, following Linda away from the group.

The pavilion sat atop a hill, swarming with mosquitoes. The moment Olivia settled on the bench, the bites began. She soon found herself swatting away the relentless insects, red welts already forming on her exposed skin.

Linda noticed her discomfort. “Why don’t I bring you inside where it’s better?”

Olivia glanced at the bumps covering her legs but shook her head stubbornly. “I’m fine,” she insisted, even as she scratched involuntarily.

Linda watched quietly, concern flickering in her eyes but not pressing further.

Meanwhile, Tyler remained absorbed in his game with the other men, showing no signs of stopping, even as an hour passed.

Olivia’s legs were now a map of itchy mosquito bites, her skin raw and irritated. A fleeting thought crossed her mind—was Tyler deliberately letting this happen?

Linda checked her watch repeatedly before finally deciding, “I’ll call Mr. Tyler.”

She stepped aside to make the call, but there was no answer. Olivia looked out into the darkening sky and said softly, “There’s no need. I’m okay.”

Linda felt a pang of sympathy but slipped her phone back into her pocket.

An hour and a half later, the group finally made their way back toward the pavilion.

Olivia’s legs had grown numb from the itching, yet she remained seated, trying to endure.

Tyler approached, clearly enjoying the game. When he finally noticed the red marks on Olivia’s legs, he glanced briefly but his expression remained unreadable.

Linda stepped forward hesitantly. “You’re back.”

Olivia stayed still on the bench, her eyes lowered.

Tyler looked away, his tone sharp but calm. “Yes. Did you wait too long?”
