Chapter 459

Olivia gripped the cutlery tightly, feeling the tension beneath her calm exterior.

Ana glanced at her and Tyler with knowing eyes. She was well aware that something had transpired between them yesterday.

“That’s good to hear,” Ana remarked casually.

Olivia and Tyler finished their meal in silence, while Maisy dominated the conversation around them.

At 1 PM, Tyler escorted Olivia outside. Ana watched them leave with a cryptic smile playing on her lips.

During the car ride to the church, Olivia remained composed, sitting quietly beside him. Tyler flipped through some documents, the crisp sound of pages turning breaking the silence.

Olivia’s gaze drifted downward, her hand resting protectively on her belly.

Before long, they arrived at the church nestled at the foot of the mountain — the busiest church in the city.

After the car stopped, Adam opened the door for Olivia, who stepped out carefully before Tyler followed.

The priest greeted them warmly as they entered, with Olivia trailing behind Tyler as they headed straight to the nave.

Meanwhile, after lunch, Claude gave Lionel a tour of the church, chatting as they walked through its quiet halls.

Olivia and Tyler requested an amulet from the priest, a sacred item that required a formal ceremony to be blessed by God.

As the ceremony began, prayer candles were lit throughout the nave, their gentle flicker casting a warm glow.

Coincidentally, Claude and Lionel entered the church.

Observing the many lit candles, Lionel asked, “Is there a ceremony going on?”

Claude glanced toward the nave, a bit puzzled. After all, the church was supposed to be closed today.

Finding it unusual, he asked, “Shall we check it out?”

Since he was already there, Lionel agreed, “Let’s pray for my family’s health.”

Claude smiled. “This is the finest church in the city. Your prayers will surely be heard.”

Feeling reassured, Lionel followed Claude inside.

Upon reaching the door, Lionel peered into the nave.

There, he spotted Tyler kneeling in prayer among the candles, with someone standing quietly by his side.

It was Olivia.

Claude froze at the doorway, surprised to see them there.

Lionel’s eyes also widened in recognition, and instinctively he called out, “Mr. Harris…”

Tyler, standing in the middle of the nave, heard Lionel’s voice and turned his head toward the entrance.

He saw both Lionel and Claude standing there.

Their eyes met, and an unspoken storm passed between them.

Suddenly, the nave fell completely silent.
