Chapter 435
Sophie’s eyes softened as she spoke firmly, “Olivia, don’t listen to what others say about Claude. It’s not true.”
Olivia pulled her hand away gently, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. “I’m not sure, Soof.”
Sophie was taken aback by the hesitation in her voice.
Trying to end the conversation, Olivia said, “I have to go,” then walked toward the room where Ana was, not daring to look back.
Inside, Ana was leisurely sipping tea and preparing for a card game.
“Done chatting already?” Ana asked with a teasing smile.
Olivia nodded and replied, “Yes, just a quick catch-up.”
With a relaxed tone, Ana suggested, “We’re about to play cards. Why don’t you grab something to eat?”
“Okay, Mom,” Olivia responded, allowing herself a small smile.
Ana set her cup down and began dealing the cards.
By around six in the evening, they finished the game and decided to head out for dinner.
As they exited, they unexpectedly ran into Tyler.
Tyler stood tall in a sharp black suit, his striking features and piercing gaze drawing attention. He was there for a business dinner.
Olivia was surprised to see him and fell silent, standing close to Ana.
Ana greeted Tyler warmly with a smile and joked, “What a coincidence! Did you come looking for Olivia?”
Tyler’s business associates smiled at Olivia, recognizing her as his wife.
Ever respectful toward Ana in public, Tyler kept his composure and asked, “Having a good time with your friends?”
Ana replied, “Yes, I thought Olivia might get bored at home, so I brought her out.”
“Alright, I’ll leave you to it,” Tyler said politely.
Quickly, Ana added, “We’re planning more card games later, but since you’re here and Olivia might be bored, why not take her with you?”
Olivia tensed at the suggestion.
Still smiling, Ana turned to Olivia and encouraged, “Go on.”
Tyler, caught off guard by Ana’s forwardness, briefly wore a stern expression.
The others watched silently as Ana looked at Tyler expectantly. “What do you think, Tyler?”
He nodded firmly, “Of course.”
Ana turned to Olivia again, “Go on.”
Hesitant, Olivia slowly stepped toward Tyler.
He asked gently, “We’re playing some games tonight. Are you sure you want to come along?”
