Chapter 467
“Should I book another room for you?” Camilla asked.
Tyler nodded without hesitation.
Camilla immediately went to make the arrangements.
Olivia dared not lie on the bed. She had been quietly waiting in the room for some time.
About half an hour later, Camilla returned. “You’ll be sleeping in this room tonight. Mr. Tyler has checked into a different one.”
Olivia simply nodded. “Okay.”
Camilla acknowledged and left.
A wave of relief washed over Olivia knowing they would be staying in separate rooms. As she lay on the bed, her thoughts drifted.
Tyler wasn’t spending much time in the hotel room—this was no vacation for him. After sitting alone for a while, he left a small tourist coin representing the city on the table before heading out for a site visit.
Accompanied by officials from the urban planning bureau and local media, Tyler visited the fishing village where the locals lived.
This time, he came in person, demonstrating his sincerity by arriving on the very day of his trip and bringing gifts.
The government representatives in the village were eager for the Harris Group to develop the area and cooperated fully.
Tyler showed no arrogance. He was friendly and courteous during his visit, smiling for the cameras as he chatted with the villagers, bridging the gap between the company and the community.
Though aware their homes might soon be displaced, the villagers greeted him with polite smiles, somewhat surprised yet pleased by the visit of such a powerful figure.
The site visit was broadcast live on television.
In Tide City, Claude watched the live footage from his couch and spotted Tyler among the crowd. Tyler’s friendly demeanor in the close-up shot made Claude chuckle softly.
After two hours of sleep, Olivia was awakened by the ringing of her phone. She picked it up and saw it was Ana calling.
