Chapter 485

“Um…” The ball was now in the personnel’s court, but the Harris Group remained unfazed.

Tyler smiled calmly. “Mr. Brandon, I’ll need your help to persuade the holdouts. If they refuse, we simply won’t develop this area.”

Brandon nodded thoughtfully. “Understood, Mr. Tyler. We’ll talk to them. But is there any chance to offer more compensation to those who haven’t signed yet?”

Tyler considered this for a moment. “We will provide additional compensation to those who refuse in the third phase. However, it won’t be as generous as what the earlier signers in the first and second phases received.”

Brandon replied, “Alright. I’ll get them to reconsider and step back a bit.”

“Thank you,” Tyler said.

Meanwhile, Olivia’s appetite hadn’t improved since returning from the church. Still, she went to bed early.

Wanting to help her rest, Alisa not only sprayed some essential oils known for promoting sleep but also gently massaged Olivia’s previously injured leg.

The room was dimly lit, peaceful.

Satisfied that Olivia had fallen asleep, Alisa quietly stood by the door before leaving.

But just two hours later, Olivia’s nightmare began. In her dream, Ana was fiercely berating her, and Olivia nearly woke up screaming.

Covered in sweat, she sat up in bed and looked around, finding the room quiet and empty.

Her breath came fast, and her fingers gripped the sheet tightly until the terror faded.

She laid back down, but sleep eluded her for the rest of the night.

The next morning, Alisa expected Olivia to be well-rested after going to bed early. She knocked softly on the door and called out, “Ma’am?”

There was no answer, so she entered quietly and found Olivia curled up in bed.

Alisa hurried to her side. “You didn’t sleep well?”

Olivia remained silent. Her thin frame looked fragile and painful to behold.

Alisa touched Olivia’s forehead and felt the coldness of her skin. How long had she been sitting like this?

“Did you not sleep at all last night?”

Olivia nodded weakly.

“That won’t do,” Alisa murmured, momentarily at a loss.

After thinking for a moment, she said, “Let me prepare something to help calm you.”

She wrapped Olivia gently in a warm blanket.

Maisy had sent someone to check on Olivia, but Alisa wasn’t sure what to report. After careful consideration, she admitted, “She only managed to sleep for two hours.”

Pearl’s worry deepened. “She’s had checkups and is physically fine. Why can’t she sleep? Give her a little more time. If she gets worse, notify us immediately.”
