Chapter 317

Olivia lay curled up in bed, clutching her stomach with a mixture of pain and worry. The hours since her fall weighed heavily on her.

Meanwhile, Tyler had rushed Naomi to the emergency room, where all the medical staff immediately focused on her critical condition.

About ten minutes later, Ana and Maisy arrived. Ana’s eyes widened in shock when she saw Olivia lying alone in the hospital bed.

“Why aren’t there any doctors here? There’s a pregnant woman in need!” Ana demanded loudly, her voice filled with frustration.

Because the medical team was occupied with Naomi’s emergency, it took some time before nurses and doctors came to check on Olivia. But once they understood the urgency, they quickly gathered around her.

“We’re currently short-staffed due to another emergency,” one nurse explained apologetically.

Ana’s frustration grew. “Check on her now! What are you waiting for? Would you want to be responsible if something happened to her or the baby?”

Her sharp tone left the medical team silent for a moment. Just then, the doctor who had initially examined Olivia entered the room.

“She’s not in immediate danger,” he said calmly. “I’ve checked her before. We’ll move her to the examination room now for further assessment.”

Ana’s anger only deepened as she learned about the chaos. She was furious that Tyler had left Olivia alone to take care of Naomi.

“How serious is the other patient’s condition?” she demanded, voice shaking with anger. “She’s critical, yes, but we need to focus on this pregnant woman. What if something happens to her or the baby?”

Maisy’s face was filled with concern. She went over to Olivia, who was still curled up in pain, and gently comforted her.

“I love you, Olivia. Don’t worry, the doctor is here now. Tell me where it hurts,” Maisy said softly, holding Olivia’s face with care.

Olivia’s expression was blank—she couldn’t tell if her ankle or her stomach hurt worse. The pain was overwhelming.

Ana turned back to the doctor, her voice sharp. “Listen, I don’t care about the other patient right now, but if anything happens to the baby, it’s on you.”

The medical team remained silent, feeling the weight of her words.

Maisy sensed something was seriously wrong with Olivia. She urged Ana, “Ana, get the doctor here, quickly!”

Ana nodded and called for more doctors, who hurried in immediately.

Meanwhile, Naomi was still undergoing treatment. Outside the emergency room, Tyler stood, exhaustion evident in his closed eyes and heavy breaths.

Linda approached him cautiously. “Mr. Tyler, the doctor said Ms. Naomi may not be able to wait until the baby is born.”

Tyler’s brow furrowed deeply.

“We’re out of blood at the blood bank,” Linda added quietly.

“Find some—no matter the cost. I’ll pay anything,” Tyler said firmly.

Linda nodded and hurried away to make arrangements.

Just then, Ben appeared and called out, “Mr. Tyler.”

Tyler opened his eyes and looked at Ben, already knowing what was coming.

“Is she being looked after?” he asked.

“Yes, Ms. Maisy and Ms. Ana are with her,” Ben replied reassuringly.

Feeling some relief knowing Olivia was in good hands, Tyler responded calmly, “Keep me updated on any changes.”
