Chapter 334
When Olivia returned to the Harrises’ estate, Maisy was already waiting for her by the driveway, watching as the car pulled up.
As Olivia stepped out, Alisa carefully supported her, and Maisy quickly approached with a warm smile. “Oh, my dear granddaughter-in-law, was the checkup tiring?”
“It’s okay. We just had an ultrasound and a blood test,” Olivia replied softly, surprised by Maisy’s eagerness.
Maisy’s smile broadened. “That’s wonderful news. Let’s head inside — we’ve prepared some delicious food for you.”
Noticing Maisy’s joy, Alisa added, “The doctor said the baby is growing well.”
Maisy’s eyes sparkled with pride. Of course! Our family’s child will surely be strong and healthy.
As they spoke, Ana and Keith arrived. Olivia greeted Keith quietly, “Dad.”
“You must be tired. Go inside and rest,” Keith said gently, stepping closer.
Their interactions were usually brief, polite exchanges, but today Keith seemed genuinely pleased.
Everyone’s excitement about the news was palpable.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the family’s joy and Keith’s kindness, Olivia managed a soft, “Thanks, Dad.”
Ana stood beside Keith, her face alight with happiness. She turned to the maid, “Make sure she has plenty of blankets so she doesn’t catch a chill.”
Worried she hadn’t been careful enough, Alisa quickly guided Olivia into the living room.
Inside, a feast awaited, and to Olivia’s surprise, many relatives had gathered.
Maisy approached her, beaming. “Olivia, why don’t you show them the ultrasound pictures?”
Before Olivia could respond, the relatives eagerly crowded around her, taking the photos and admiring them.
“What an adorable child! Look at those tiny hands and feet. He looks just like Tyler and Olivia,” they exclaimed excitedly.
Caught off guard by their enthusiasm, Olivia sat quietly, watching as they praised the fuzzy image of the baby.
Maisy nodded proudly. “Absolutely. The baby has the best features of both Olivia and Tyler.”
The relatives cheered, “Wonderful! A boy for the firstborn — the next heir to the family business!”
They began congratulating Ana and Keith, who responded modestly, “He’s just a normal child,” though their happiness was clear.
The whole house buzzed with excitement over the mere photo of the baby.
Feeling more at ease, Olivia gently rested her hand on her belly, a spontaneous smile lighting her face.
After a while, craving some quiet, she allowed Alisa to help her upstairs, away from the lively chatter of the gathering below.
