Chapter 364
Ana watched Keith stride toward the dining hall, her expression hardening with every step. Inside, Olivia sat drenched in cold sweat, her heart pounding as she listened to his approaching footsteps.
Keith’s gaze was sharp as he stopped before her. “What happened? When were these photos taken?”
Everyone knew the pictures were recent—the outfit Olivia wore was unmistakable.
Fear gripped Olivia more tightly than ever before. She lowered her head, trembling, closing her eyes in silence.
“Did we treat you so poorly that you felt driven to do this?” Keith’s voice was harsh, disbelief coloring every word.
He struggled to reconcile the images with the woman he thought he knew—especially given their rushed, shotgun wedding. Had he been blind? Had Ana truly chosen such a woman?
Anger flared within him. “Get Tyler back here immediately. He needs to deal with this!”
Ben stepped forward at once. “Sir, Tyler is currently on a business trip. I’m afraid he can’t return today.”
“Then call him. Now.”
Ben’s face tightened. “Yes, sir.”
A heavy silence fell over the dining hall. Olivia felt exposed, every gaze slicing through her like cold steel. The piercing stares felt like lashes across her skin.
Behind Keith, Ana’s frown deepened. Her heart sank with every second that passed.
Just then, Maisy entered, breaking the tension with a sharp exclamation. “What’s going on here? Is this some kind of trial?”
Meanwhile, Tyler was just reaching the embassy when Ben’s urgent call came through. “Return home immediately. There’s been an emergency.”
Tyler was silent for a long moment before disconnecting the call. Turning to Linda, he said firmly, “Prepare the jet.”
Linda, sensing the turmoil the news had caused, hesitated. “And the project…”
She didn’t dare voice the question hanging in the air—the challenges waiting for them back home.
Ana and Keith exchanged looks as Maisy moved closer to Olivia, disbelief written all over her face. She simply couldn’t accept that her beloved Olivia was caught up in such a scandal.
Approaching Olivia protectively, Maisy warned fiercely, “Try to lay a hand on her if you dare.”
“Mom, it’s not that simple,” Olivia whispered. “This is serious… We’ve never faced anything like this before with any daughter-in-law.”
Keith shook his head in frustration, worried that Maisy didn’t fully grasp the gravity of the situation.
“Save it,” Maisy snapped. “She’s pregnant, so keep your mouths shut.”
Ignoring the tension in the room, Maisy ordered a maid, “Take her to her room to rest.”
She was determined to shield Olivia from further interrogation or blame.
Keith wanted to argue, but the helplessness settled over him like a storm cloud. With no choice but to let it be, he watched silently as the maid gently approached Olivia. “Let’s go, Ma’am.”
