Chapter 397
Olivia arrived at the bar in the Harris family car, where Sophie was already waiting with their friends. She rarely went to such places and was cautious, afraid someone might try to take her photo. Luckily, this wasn’t an ordinary spot—entry was exclusive and controlled.
Inside, Olivia spotted Sophie sitting on the couch, chatting with their friends. Unsure whether to approach, Olivia hesitated by the door. Sophie noticed her and stood up.
“Olivia,” Sophie called softly.
Olivia’s voice was low as she replied, “I can’t stay long.”
“That’s okay. We’ll only be here a little while,” Sophie assured her, gently grabbing her hand. “Can we talk outside?”
Olivia stayed quiet, but Sophie didn’t wait and led her outside, still holding her hand.
At the door, they unexpectedly bumped into someone.
Dylan almost stumbled but was caught by a friend beside him.
He looked up and saw two unfamiliar women—Sophie and Olivia. Neither recognized them.
Dylan’s eyes lingered on Olivia, captivated by her flawless features and slender figure that reminded him of a university student.
He glanced from Olivia to his friends with a sly smile.
Though Olivia didn’t recognize the men, she sensed they weren’t ordinary and quickly hid behind Sophie, avoiding eye contact.
Sophie quickly apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t see you there.”
Dylan, being polite, waved it off. “It’s fine, but watch where you’re going.” He pointed to his wrinkled sleeve, clearly hinting it got smudged.
Sophie ignored it and swiftly walked away with Olivia.
One of Dylan’s friends whispered, “Who’s that girl? She looks a little like Naomi.”
Another teased, “Are you interested in her?”
Dylan chuckled, “Don’t start.”
As they continued, the bar manager approached the group with a warm smile.
“Welcome. It’s an honor to have you here. I’ve reserved the best seats for you,” he said politely.
Dylan joked, “Sounds like we’re attending an opera.”
They all knew these men came from Tide City’s most affluent families—a group not to offend lightly.
Just as they were about to settle, they unexpectedly crossed paths with Claude.
