Chapter 335

After Olivia was helped upstairs, a brief moment of peace settled over her as she sat quietly in her room. But gradually, her smile faded, and a shadow crossed her face.

Alisa noticed the change and gently offered, “Let me help you get into bed.”

Olivia nodded softly. “Okay.”

Just as Alisa moved to assist, several other maids appeared at the door, carrying an assortment of gifts. Olivia glanced over and saw the presents—each more lavish than the last.

One maid explained politely, “These are from the relatives, for you and the baby. Where should we put them?”

Olivia’s eyes caught the finer details—Tyler’s relatives had always been generous, but their gifts had become noticeably grander since they learned the baby’s gender.

Feeling a little overwhelmed, she suggested quietly, “In the cabinet, please.”

“Sure,” the maid replied.

As the maid opened the cabinet, Olivia caught sight of Tyler’s clothes neatly folded inside—items untouched for some time. Her expression darkened once again.

Unaware of Olivia’s inner turmoil, the maid finished arranging the gifts and left.

Alisa offered again, “Do you want to get into bed now?”

Preferring to be alone, Olivia shook her head. “You can go. I’ll manage on my own.”

Alisa hesitated for a moment but then quietly left, knowing Olivia was capable of moving by herself.

Left alone, Olivia wheeled closer to the cabinet and pulled out a small doll from the gifts. Despite the mixed emotions swirling inside her, holding the doll brought a faint, fragile smile to her lips.

That evening, Tyler’s car arrived quietly at the estate. The butler greeted him formally as he parked. “Welcome back, Mr. Tyler.”

Tyler said nothing and walked straight inside. Maisy and Ana were in the living room, but neither made a sound upon seeing him.

The maid who had noticed Tyler’s arrival quickly went upstairs and announced softly, “Ma’am, Mr. Tyler is back.”

Alisa, giving Olivia a gentle massage, looked up in surprise.

Seeing no reaction from Olivia, the maid added quietly, “Mr. Tyler is downstairs.”

Olivia’s grip on the bedsheet slackened, and she murmured with little emotion, “Oh…”
