Chapter 372

Back in her room, Olivia powered on her phone. The screen lit up with more than a dozen missed call notifications.

She scrolled through them with a blank expression. No names surprised her anymore.

Outside her door, the rumors showed no sign of fading. If anything, they had spread even further.

Meanwhile, at the Harris residence, Naomi grew anxious as soon as Tyler entered her room. She tried to get out of bed, concern evident in her movements.

Tyler walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Lie down,” he said softly.

Naomi reluctantly obeyed, settling back against her pillows.

Looking up at him, she asked, “How’s Olivia? How are things going?”

Tyler’s tone was steady.

“We’re waiting for it to pass.”

Naomi hesitated before voicing the question that had been weighing on her.

“Is Olivia really… involved with the man in the photo?”

She didn’t say his name. Neither of them had to.

Tyler replied calmly, “I don’t know. That’s a question for her.”

“What did she say?” Naomi asked.

“She hasn’t said anything,” Tyler answered.

Naomi noticed the coldness in his expression. It was clear that Olivia had chosen not to explain—or perhaps couldn’t.

With a soft sigh, Naomi said, “I’m sorry, Tyler. That’s just how Olivia is. Stubborn. Please… don’t push her too hard.”

There was a pause before she added quietly, “I never imagined she’d get involved with Claude.”

Her voice carried a tinge of sadness, as if even now she struggled to accept the possibility.

Naomi exhaled slowly.

“But we can’t control her choices. Yes, this is damaging for Harris Group, but in the end, she’s still free to live her life.”

Tyler remained silent, his expression unreadable.

Naomi hesitated, then spoke again.

“If she truly likes him, then maybe she should—”

Tyler abruptly cut her off.

“She should what?”

His sudden tone startled Naomi. She looked at him, taken aback. In that moment, something clicked in her mind.

Lowering her gaze slightly, she murmured, “I’m sorry, Tyler. I didn’t think about Morgan.”

Tyler’s voice turned cold, though composed.

“She’s your sister. She can fall for anyone—no one’s stopping her. But as for Claude… he should think twice. This isn’t just her burden anymore.”

Naomi wasn’t sure what he meant by that. Or perhaps she didn’t want to know.

After all, Claude’s connection to the Harrises existed only because of her… because of Olivia.

She said nothing further.

Tyler watched her, realizing he had come across too harshly. He softened his tone.

“This is complicated. From my family’s point of view, Olivia should have no ties to Claude—not now, not ever. But you don’t need to worry about that. This isn’t your responsibility.”

Naomi listened and nodded quietly.

“I understand. I’ll speak with Olivia about it.”

“Alright,” Tyler replied curtly.

As usual, Tyler stayed with Naomi through the morning.

After lunch, he left her room, pausing in the hallway to light a cigarette.

Linda approached him, a folder in hand.

“Mr. Tyler, will you be going to the Harris residence today?”

Tyler exhaled a stream of smoke. Having spent the past few days at Sandalwood Palace, he replied,

“Yes.”
