Chapter 380

The driver hadn’t dared to speak much since the last incident. The journey to the hospital passed quietly and without trouble.

Upon arrival, Alisa finally spoke up, her voice hesitant. “Um, why are we here?”

Olivia’s hand trembled slightly as she answered, “I’m here to see my sister.”

“But what about the journalists? What if they’re around?”

Even Olivia wasn’t sure. The best she could offer was a hesitant, “It’s probably fine.”

Alisa fell silent as Olivia hurried into the hospital, making her way toward Naomi’s ward. Naomi had already been moved back to her original room.

From the doorway, Naomi spotted Olivia and called out, “Olivia!”

Olivia took in her sister’s worn, tired face. Just as she was about to step inside, her eyes met Tyler’s.

Her footsteps faltered.

Tyler turned away, his expression unreadable and stoic, as if he hadn’t noticed her.

Seeing him caught Olivia off guard, but after a moment she pushed past the surprise and entered the room.

Naomi grasped her hand tightly, concern and frustration blending in her voice. “God, you really made me worry! Do you know how much stress you’ve caused Dad?”

Olivia said nothing.

Naomi fixed her with a firm, caring gaze. “You should’ve thought things through, Olivia. But don’t worry — Tyler’s handling everything. Just give it a few days; it’ll blow over soon.”

Tyler remained silent, his cold demeanor unchanged.

Olivia looked down, guilt pressing heavily on her chest.

Sensing her sister’s mood, Naomi patted the empty seat beside her, gently encouraging Olivia to sit and talk. She held Olivia’s hand softly and said, “No matter what happens, you have to tell me, okay? I’ll protect you from harm, no matter what.”

Olivia met her sister’s eyes and saw nothing but love — a deep, unwavering affection from an elder sister. That love stirred a heavy guilt within Olivia.

Feeling remorseful, she murmured, “I’m really fine, Naomi. Please don’t worry about me.”

Naomi cupped Olivia’s cheeks gently and whispered, “I don’t believe it. I care about you — and that scares me.”

Olivia relaxed slightly, feeling the weight of her harsh thoughts begin to lift.
