Chapter 387

Tyler quickly ascended the stairs, with Olivia trailing silently behind him. Ana remained downstairs, her eyes fixed on them as they disappeared from sight.

Inside the room, Tyler stood before Olivia and instructed firmly, “Take a shower and go to bed.”

Clutching the fabric of her dress, Olivia’s voice came out hoarse and fragile. “Okay…”

Tyler lingered for a moment longer, then left the room and headed to the study after three minutes.

Left alone, Olivia felt her strength ebb away. She moved toward the bed, collapsed onto it with a heavy frown, and closed her eyes.

The night passed heavily.

In the following days, Naomi repeatedly called Olivia, but Olivia stayed in bed, unable to find the courage to answer. Eventually, she silenced the phone, desperate to stop the ringing.

Everything between them had changed.

Olivia knew she could never trust Naomi as she once had, but she couldn’t bring herself to hurt her either. All she wanted was to sever ties quietly, at least until the baby arrived.

Then, she would leave.

Her fingers gripped the phone tightly.

Meanwhile, Naomi lay in her hospital bed, weeping after Olivia had cut off the calls. She had spent a restless night, with Darren and Hillary by her side.

Hillary comforted her softly, “Naomi, I’ll tell Tyler myself that it was me who did it. Stop calling Olivia.”

Naomi’s heart pounded as she clutched her chest in distress.

Hillary hurried to hold her steady. “Naomi!”

Thankfully, her pulse calmed after a moment.

“Mom, get Olivia to forgive me,” Naomi whispered, the thought consuming her mind.

Hillary’s heart ached hearing this. “She will forgive you. How could Olivia stay angry with you? If it weren’t true, how would she have been photographed? You were just trying to help her be with the man she loves. Why can’t that be shared?”

Naomi’s face paled, breaths shallow under the weight of Hillary’s words. Suddenly, she seized her mother’s hand, determination flickering in her eyes. “Prepare the car, Mom. I’m going to the Harrises.”

She struggled to sit up.

Hillary gasped, “What are you doing, Naomi? You can’t leave the hospital!”

Darren was equally alarmed. “That’s not right, Naomi. You need to stay here.”

But Naomi insisted firmly, “I have to apologize to Olivia. I want to! Let me go!”

She brushed their hands away and stood, trembling but resolved.

Hillary panicked, aware that Ana wanted Naomi gone, and now Naomi was digging her own grave—especially right after everything that had happened.

She grabbed Naomi with all her might. “Naomi!”

But Naomi was already standing, unyielding.

Meanwhile, Ana quietly ascended the stairs and entered Olivia’s room. She knew who had been calling, seeing the grip Olivia held on her phone.

Since the baby had not yet arrived, it was only natural Naomi wouldn’t want to sever ties just yet; she would certainly keep trying to reach Olivia.

Ana approached Olivia and said coldly, “I’m sure you’ve seen her true colors by now.”

Ignoring Olivia’s stunned silence, Ana locked eyes with her. “You gave her your whole heart, but she sees it as a threat to her position. She wishes you harm. Believe me, if the roles were reversed, she would be glad to see your downfall. That’s who she really is.”
