Chapter 355

Ana strode past Katrina with an air of arrogance, leaving Katrina and Sophie standing there silently.

Sophie hesitated, then said softly, “Aunt Katrina… Olivia is my friend. Why did you…?”

Her voice trembled with worry. Claude and Olivia’s relationship was forbidden, yet Katrina had openly shown favor to Olivia in front of them.

Katrina, however, seemed unfazed by Sophie’s concern. Her eyes darkened as she said, “I want Claude to have a wife like her. Even if she doesn’t come from a prestigious family, it would be enough if she’s obedient. But, sadly, that dream feels impossible now.”

Sophie frowned, trying to reason, “Aunt Katrina, Olivia is married now. She’s Mrs. Harris. It wasn’t right to act like that in front of Ms. Ana.”

Katrina’s gaze clouded with gloom, knowing full well Morgan’s death was tied to Claude, and the Harrises’ firm hold over their family.

“I can’t even dream anymore,” she muttered. “The Harrises will ruin Claude one day.”

Sophie panicked, yet there were truths she dared not voice. She remained silent, anxiety tightening her chest.

Meanwhile, Olivia followed Ana into the VIP room of the salon.

Ana was a regular here, familiar with every detail. She warned the beautician, “Be gentle with her. She’s pregnant. Don’t do anything that could harm the baby.”

The beautician nodded promptly. “Understood, Mrs. Harris.”

Ana settled onto the bed, closing her eyes as the beautician began her work. Olivia stood by, watching quietly until staff invited her to lie down as well.

Soft music and a soothing aroma filled the room, but Ana’s mind drifted back to Katrina’s envious stare directed at Olivia.

She inwardly scoffed, thinking, She was jealous? She should be. How could she choose the wrong daughter-in-law?

Her voice softened as she addressed Olivia, “The service here is wonderful. You should try their hydration facial sometime.”

She smiled kindly yet added, “But don’t worry—you’re more beautiful than that frail woman, even without it. Any man would be captivated by you.”

Youth was an advantage, after all. How could Tyler resist Olivia’s natural charm and vitality? Who would want someone weak and fragile instead?

Ana kept these thoughts to herself, however.

Olivia said nothing in response.

Ana admired Olivia’s grace in managing her complicated ties with Hillary and Naomi, respecting her discretion to protect Naomi. Yet she thought Olivia was too young to fully grasp the harsh realities ahead—she would learn once the baby was born.

Sighing, Ana relaxed as the beautician’s gentle hands worked on her face. “Softer,” she murmured.

The beautician immediately eased her touch.

Olivia felt a quiet nervousness inside but kept her composure.

While Ana enjoyed a full body massage, Olivia couldn’t join due to her pregnancy. Concerned she might feel left out, Ana suggested she wait in the lounge after her facial.

The staff escorted Olivia to the VIP lounge, carefully serving her refreshments. One said kindly, “Please have a seat, Ms. Olivia. We’ve brought you something to eat.”

Olivia nodded, replying softly, “Thank you.”
