Chapter 337

Tyler was unfazed by Olivia’s brief response. He walked over to her, shedding his coat as he spoke, “I saw the ultrasound photo.”

Olivia wanted to hear his thoughts, but he said no more. Instead, he added, “I have to work tonight. You should get some rest.”

He moved toward the cabinet and opened it, revealing the stack of gifts inside.

“Our relatives gave these to us,” Olivia said softly.

Tyler glanced at the presents, then took out some of his clothes and quietly left for his study.

Olivia’s voice barely rose as she asked, “How’s Naomi?” She kept her eyes lowered, fixed on her feet.

Tyler paused, turning to face her. “She’s stable for now,” he replied.

Olivia said nothing.

Seeing her silence, Tyler left the room and headed upstairs to the study.

Olivia closed her eyes and crossed her legs, lost in thought.

Alisa, standing at the door, watched Tyler leave so abruptly and couldn’t hide her surprise.

Downstairs, Maisy and Ana exchanged uneasy looks. Ana seemed uncomfortable, while Maisy wore a worried expression.

Upstairs, Olivia remained still and quiet, and Alisa felt a pang of sympathy for the young woman, puzzled by Tyler’s coldness.

That night, Tyler didn’t return to their room.

Alisa waited until around one in the morning. When the study lights finally went dark, she quietly entered Olivia’s room and turned off the bedroom lights.

The house fell silent and dark, but Olivia lay awake, a single tear tracing down her cheek.

Alisa didn’t notice and assumed Olivia was asleep, so she left quietly.

The next morning, everyone gathered at the breakfast table. Olivia sat beside Tyler, though she looked pale and weary.

Maisy noticed immediately and sighed softly.

Ana instructed the maid to place some protein-rich food in front of Olivia, then turned her gaze to Tyler. “Why did you sleep in the study?”

Tyler, calmly eating his bacon, replied, “I was working late, so I stayed there.” He took another bite, showing little concern for Ana’s question.

“Really?” Ana pressed. “Since when do you sleep anywhere so casually?”

Maisy, sensing the tension rising, quickly intervened. “Tyler, Olivia is four months pregnant. Please take care of her. She’s young and needs to feel safe.”

Tyler caught the softness and concern in his grandmother’s voice, which was gentler than his mother’s tone.

“Okay, I will,” he replied nonchalantly, his words lacking conviction.

Then, placing an egg on Olivia’s plate, he said simply, “Eat this.”
