Chapter 388

Ana sternly warned Olivia to keep her distance from Naomi, emphasizing that Naomi saw her only as a pawn in a dangerous game. “She’s using you,” Ana said coldly. “It’s time you stop helping someone so unworthy.”

Olivia responded quietly, “I understand.”

Ana sighed, satisfied her message had sunk in. “Good. That’s good.”

Suddenly, a maid rushed into the room. “Ma’am, the Jones have arrived,” she announced.

Ana frowned, the name triggering a thought. The Jones? Is the sickling’s mother here?

The maid added, “It’s Ms. Naomi who came.”

Ana looked sharply at the maid. “She’s here?”

“That’s right, Ma’am.”

Olivia was startled by Naomi’s unexpected arrival. As she wondered what Naomi wanted, Ana silently descended the stairs, leaving Olivia alone.

Olivia quickly followed, spotting Naomi being supported by a nurse as she entered the room.

Naomi looked fragile and unsteady, as if all her strength had drained away. Her lips were cracked and dry like fallen leaves, but when her eyes met Olivia’s, a sudden spark ignited.

Ignoring the nurse’s help, Naomi staggered forward—then collapsed just short of reaching Olivia.

Hillary and Darren cried out in alarm. Olivia and the nurse rushed to Naomi’s side.

Despite their care, Naomi remained on the floor, barely able to speak.

Turning weakly to Olivia, she begged, “Olivia, can you find it in your heart to forgive me? I came to apologize. Please… forgive me.”

Ana could hardly believe Naomi’s words. She stormed over, her voice sharp as a blade. “Who gave you permission to enter?”

To Ben, she barked, “Get security to remove her immediately!”

Ben hesitated. Naomi looked close to death. Yet, he called for the guards.

The security guards arrived promptly, ready to escort Naomi out.

Darren and Hillary watched in shock, rushing toward Naomi as she knelt on the floor.

Olivia hurried over to Ana, pleading, “Don’t do this, Mom.”

She desperately wanted to prevent the scene from escalating.

But to Ana, Naomi’s presence was an intolerable challenge. She hardened her expression and ignored Olivia’s plea.

“To the guards, she commanded, “What are you waiting for? Remove her now!”

Naomi stayed on her knees, eyes locked on Olivia. Despite everything, she pleaded softly, “Can you forgive me, Olivia?”

Ana’s anger flared further. “Take her away!”

The guards struggled to lift Naomi, who was as fragile as a skeleton on the brink of collapse.

Darren and Hillary tried to intervene, pushing back the guards.

Hillary shouted, appalled, “How can you treat Naomi like this?! You’ll face consequences if anything happens to her!”

The tension thickened as the guards tightened their grip, determined to follow Ana’s orders.
