Chapter 357
Sophie and Olivia exchanged uneasy glances as the staff member lingered nearby. They weren’t sure if she had overheard their conversation.
The young woman appeared flustered under their watchful eyes, saying nothing. She hurriedly picked up a fallen apple from the floor and apologized softly, “I’m sorry to have disturbed you. My boss asked me to deliver some fruit.”
She quickly placed the plate on the table, then fled the scene as if eager to escape.
Sophie and Olivia continued watching her retreat, an unsettling feeling settling in Olivia’s chest.
She suspected the staff member had caught fragments of their tense discussion, and a wave of unease rippled through her.
Only then did Sophie realize how careless they’d been. Whispering private matters in such a public place was unwise.
Trying to ease the tension, Sophie said quietly, “I don’t think she heard much.”
Olivia stayed silent, her fingers nervously fidgeting with the fabric of her dress.
Just then, Alisa emerged from Ana’s room. “Ma’am, Ms. Ana is requesting your presence.”
Olivia blinked in surprise. She had expected Alisa to find a staff member, but instead, the young woman was addressing her directly.
After a brief pause, Olivia nodded. “O–Okay.”
Alisa, sensing Olivia’s hesitation, returned to Ana’s room.
Olivia took a moment, then forced herself to stand and follow, knowing it was best not to linger.
Inside, Ana was enjoying her massage. She smiled warmly at Olivia. “Feel free to stay. We can chat if you’re bored.”
Olivia forced a small smile, hiding the nervous flutter in her stomach. “Okay.”
Alisa guided her to a nearby couch. Though seated, Olivia’s mind raced, replaying every word of her earlier conversation with Sophie — how easily it could be misunderstood.
Her fingers gripped the folds of her dress, betraying the tension she tried to hide.
The clock chimed three as Ana’s massage came to an end.
Thankfully, they didn’t run into Katrina or Sophie again.
Ana then invited Olivia for coffee, ensuring she wouldn’t have a moment to be alone with her swirling thoughts.
After coffee, they headed toward a horse race event.
Olivia had assumed it would be a simple outing — until she saw the reporters gathered outside.
Flashing cameras pointed directly at them.
Ana remained calm, her voice steady as she said, “It’s good to show your face. Otherwise, people won’t know Tyler is already married. This is the perfect opportunity for the media to find out.”
A surge of panic coursed through Olivia. Appearing here alongside Ana meant her background would be scrutinized closely.
Soon, everyone would know she was Tyler’s wife.
She felt the stinging glare of flashbulbs capturing her every move.
Sitting beside Ana, she whispered, “Isn’t this inappropriate?”
Ana looked at her, eyes clear and confident. “Why is it inappropriate?”
