Chapter 322

Naomi’s eyes looked distant, empty as if all hope had drained away. To her, love was everything—without it, life held no meaning. Her breathing was so soft it seemed she might stop at any moment.

“I’ll accept it if you don’t love me anymore, Tyler,” she whispered weakly.

Tyler squeezed her hand tightly, his voice steady and unwavering. “How could I ever stop loving you?”

His gaze was serious, full of resolve as he looked at her. “Don’t we both dream of having a child? Once you’re better, Olivia and I—we’ll have that family we’ve always wanted.” He paused briefly, then added quietly, “Olivia is just like a sister to me. Don’t you see?”

Naomi lay still, her eyes fixed on him as he spoke, absorbing every word.

Leaning closer, Tyler whispered softly into her ear, “I will always love you, Naomi. I’m waiting for you to recover. When you do, our life will be even better.”

His gentle words painted a hopeful future, and for the first time in days, a flicker of light returned to Naomi’s eyes. She let out a small, fragile laugh. “Really?”

“Of course,” Tyler assured her, holding her hand firmly while his other hand brushed her pale cheek tenderly.

A faint smile appeared on Naomi’s lips, comforted by his presence. “That’s wonderful. Everything is amazing,” she murmured, hope beginning to sparkle in her gaze.

After a moment, Tyler urged gently, “Be good, don’t be stubborn. Listen to the doctors.”

It took a moment for Naomi to nod in agreement. “Okay…”

The medical staff had quietly watched from a distance, careful not to intrude on the fragile moment. Only after Tyler gently released her hand did they approach, and Naomi cooperated fully with their care for over ten minutes.

Meanwhile, Olivia had not seen Tyler for five days and had no news about Naomi’s condition.

On the sixth day, Darren came to visit her. “Naomi is doing much better now,” he told her.

Relief washed over Olivia’s face, and she smiled genuinely. “Really? That’s wonderful. I’m so glad she’s okay.”

The past days had been a struggle for Darren as well. Naomi’s health crisis had nearly torn their family apart. Thankfully, she was stable now—though not fully healed, her life was no longer at risk.
