Chapter 351
Olivia and Tyler were both in the hospital ward, while Naomi had fainted just outside. Slowly, the truth became clearer as everything fell into place.
Hillary had noticed the way Tyler treated Olivia differently—especially given their intimate connection. Such closeness naturally kindled feelings between them.
She understood it well. Now that Olivia was pregnant, Hillary felt the need to intervene. She refused to let an unexpected daughter take her rightful place. She was determined to shatter any illusions Olivia might have about her position.
Yet, despite Tyler’s special treatment of Olivia, his affection for Naomi remained undeniable. Hillary couldn’t help but smile inwardly at that thought.
Today was Naomi and Tyler’s anniversary. Due to Naomi’s fragile health, she couldn’t leave the hospital, so the celebration was held right there in her ward.
Knowing Naomi’s love for raw fish and sushi, Tyler had arranged for the hospital to bring in a top Japanese chef, along with a skilled pastry chef from their favorite university hangout.
The usually sterile ward was transformed into a lively restaurant.
Naomi even dressed up for the occasion—wearing a dress and heels. Though ill, she took the time to put on makeup, sitting gracefully at the table.
Tyler sat across from her and asked gently, “Do you feel okay?”
Naomi’s face lit up, unable to hide her joy. “Yes, I feel wonderful. I’ve never felt this good before.”
Bathed in the soft light, she admired Tyler’s handsome face and elegant demeanor. After all these years together, it still felt like a dream—her heart overflowing with happiness whenever she looked at him.
She glanced down at her plate and noticed a card resting on top, accompanied by a delicate rose petal. Picking up the petal, she read the message on the card aloud softly, “May we be happy every day.”
Smiling like a child despite the years of suffering from her illness, she whispered, “May we be happy every day…”
“Every day,” Tyler echoed warmly.
Naomi’s eyes sparkled with a sudden memory. “I used to love playing tennis. You took me to that tennis match the year we graduated. Do you remember the player I liked? She sent us congratulations today.”
She handed Tyler an envelope. “Look.”
Tyler opened it and found not a letter but a photograph. It showed them at a tennis court.
Naomi wore a sporty tennis outfit, her cheeks rosy and eyes bright with vitality as she held Tyler’s hand. Tyler looked casual, offering a subtle smile for the camera.
The tennis player had taken the photo for them after the match.
Tyler studied the photograph with a smile. “I can’t believe they still have this.”
Naomi laughed softly. “I was so surprised. It was a shock to see it again. How time flies.”
There were more photos inside the envelope. Tyler pulled them out one by one.
Among them were pictures of the three of them at the match, as well as candid shots of Naomi alone—clearly the photographer’s favorite subject.
