Chapter 381

Tyler glanced at Naomi, his expression unreadable and void of emotion. He stayed silent for a moment, frowning slightly before looking away as Naomi spoke. Just as he was about to leave, someone appeared at the door, causing him to freeze in place.

“Tyler.”

It was Ana.

The room was dim because Naomi disliked sunlight, but the bright lights outside cast a strong glow behind Ana. The backlighting gave her an almost otherworldly aura, like a figure standing at the gates of some ominous place. Her face remained hidden in shadow.

Tyler and Ana locked eyes.

Naomi’s attention snapped sharply to the door at the sound of Ana’s voice. Her grip on Olivia’s hand tightened instinctively when she saw Ana.

Though Olivia couldn’t hear Ana’s voice clearly, she sensed Naomi’s sudden reaction — a flicker of fear as Naomi recoiled and released her hand. Only then did Olivia turn to look at the door.

“Ms. Ana?”

Backlit by the harsh light, Ana resembled a grim reaper holding a scythe. She smiled at Olivia before turning her gaze to Naomi.

Naomi clenched her hands tightly, trying to steady herself.

Ana smirked. “What a pair of sweet sisters. I’m moved to see this.”

Olivia couldn’t read Ana’s intentions or what she was implying. She rose from the bed and looked at her cautiously.

Ana stepped inside, carrying a dark purple bag. She addressed Naomi with a calm but chilling tone, “It’s been a while. Have you gotten better?”

Naomi’s heart raced, fear clearly visible in her eyes as she met Ana’s unwavering gaze, struggling to keep her emotions in check.

Approaching Naomi’s bedside with confident steps, Ana continued, “Do you really think I would welcome you into the family after everything?”

“It seems you have no idea why I despise you at all. Your cruelty is your crime! Are you trying to secure your position by sabotaging Olivia? Think again!”

Ana reached into her bag and pulled something out, then slammed it down in front of Naomi with a loud thud.

The sharp sound echoed through the room, catching Tyler’s full attention.

Olivia remained confused, still trying to understand what was happening. Her eyes stayed fixed on the object Ana had placed before Naomi.

“You hired a paparazzo to follow Olivia and publish those pictures to threaten her. Now that you’ve dared to do that, let’s hear what you have to say about victimizing your own sister — the one you claim to care so much about!” Ana’s voice boomed, filling the ward.

Naomi lowered her gaze, noticing a bag containing a thick stack of papers — a chat history.

It showed texts she had exchanged with someone from a newspaper company.

“You almost fooled me! I nearly believed Olivia was truly as reckless as those photos suggested!”

Instinctively, Olivia stepped back, her eyes never leaving Naomi.

Naomi’s face went pale. Her first instinct was to look at Tyler.
