Chapter 349

Tyler paused as he was buttoning his shirt. “No. I’ll sleep in the guest room instead.”

Olivia’s heart skipped a beat. His tone was as composed as always, yet at times she couldn’t shake the feeling that something about him had changed.

Without another glance, Tyler turned away, preparing to leave.

Suddenly, Olivia felt a strange sensation in her belly. Startled, she placed her hand on it.

Noticing her sudden movement, Tyler stopped and looked back. “What is it?” His brows furrowed with concern.

Olivia remained frozen, her hand still resting on her stomach. Tyler observed her carefully before stepping closer. “What’s wrong?”

It felt as though tiny wings were fluttering inside her. After a moment, Olivia whispered, “The baby… he’s moving.”

Tyler’s frown deepened. Seeing her worried expression, he reassured her. “That’s fetal movement. It’s normal.”

Olivia’s eyes widened. “This early?” she asked, her voice soft with wonder. She gently rubbed her belly, gazing at her slightly rounded stomach in amazement.

A soft glow seemed to radiate from her. Clad in a sleeveless pink nightgown, her arms and shoulders exposed, Olivia looked youthful—but now there was something more. A maternal warmth shone through.

Smiling down at her belly, she murmured, “You’re such an active little one! Must be fun stretching those tiny hands and feet, isn’t it?”

In that moment, her fears and doubts faded, replaced by a deep connection to the life growing inside her.

Across the room, Tyler’s usual guarded expression softened as he silently watched her—her joy, her tenderness, the quiet bond she shared with their child.

Just then, his phone buzzed. Tyler glanced at the screen.

His expression hardened in an instant. It was a message from Naomi.

After a long look at Olivia, Tyler slipped the phone into his pocket and turned to leave the room without a word.

Engrossed in the new sensations, Olivia didn’t notice at first. But when she finally looked up, Tyler was already gone.

Her hand stilled on her belly. The bright smile on her face slowly faded.
