Chapter 327
Alisa spoke quietly, her voice barely above a whisper, but Olivia didn’t respond. She simply lowered her head in silence.
Uncertain, Alisa hesitated, waiting for guidance. After a moment, Olivia finally broke the stillness. “Let’s go. I just want to see my sister.”
With a brief pause, Alisa gently guided her toward the intensive care unit.
When they reached the ICU doors, Olivia stood up from her wheelchair. Suddenly, a voice called out softly, “Ma’am…”
Olivia turned to see Tyler’s secretary, Linda, standing there.
Surprised to see Olivia, Linda’s expression flickered with shock, but Olivia didn’t waver. She gripped the wheelchair firmly and said plainly, “I’m here to see my sister.”
Linda stepped closer and offered some reassuring news. “Ms. Naomi is stable now. There’s no need to worry.”
Olivia fell silent, absorbing the news.
“Are you… okay?” Linda asked gently, concern evident in her voice. She hadn’t seen Olivia in a while and was unsure how she was doing.
“It’s just a sprain,” Olivia replied, placing a hand protectively over her belly. “The baby is fine.”
Relieved, Linda smiled softly. “That’s wonderful.”
Noticing Linda held something, Olivia guessed it was food, given the time. She hesitated before asking, “Can’t I go in, Linda?”
“The doctors are limiting visits since Ms. Naomi is still quite weak,” Linda explained.
“That’s okay. I’ll just stay by the door. You can go in,” Olivia said, nodding slightly.
Linda hesitated again, then met Olivia’s steady gaze. After a moment, she opened the door and stepped inside.
From her spot outside, Olivia watched as Linda approached Tyler, who was gently dabbing Naomi’s face with a soft towel. Naomi’s face brightened with a rare smile.
It was a quiet but tender scene.
Olivia stood frozen, watching silently, feeling a numbness settle over her.
Inside, Linda announced, “Mr. Tyler, I’ve brought what Ms. Naomi requested.”
Tyler, wanting to lift Naomi’s spirits, had told everyone to bring her anything she wished without restrictions.
Hearing this, Tyler placed the towel in a basin of warm water and reached for the food. Just then, Linda added, “Mr. Tyler, Ms. Olivia is outside.”
