Chapter 353
Olivia stood by the wardrobe, turning her head when her phone suddenly rang.
Alisa, mindful of Olivia’s sprained ankle and wanting to help, quickly said, “I’ll get it for you.” She moved swiftly to the table and handed the phone back to Olivia.
Not many people had Olivia’s new number yet. Unlocking the phone, Olivia noticed a message from Hillary — a photo showing Naomi smiling brightly in the ward, a diamond ring sparkling on her finger, and holding a cake.
Olivia’s breath caught. She froze at the sight.
Naomi is feeling great today, Olivia.
That was Hillary’s message.
Olivia’s gaze lingered on the image, her mind swirling with conflicting emotions.
Alisa, curious, peeked at the screen but quickly looked away, unsure why Olivia was so fixated on it.
Seeing this, Olivia instinctively averted her eyes as well.
“Should I put it away?” Alisa gently asked.
Olivia didn’t answer, so Alisa carefully took the phone and placed it back on the table.
Turning away, Olivia went back to organizing the baby clothes in the wardrobe.
Just then, Ana appeared. “Lunch is ready. Let Alisa finish up here.”
Noticing something was off with Olivia, she asked softly, “Is everything alright?”
“I’ll come down later,” Olivia replied, closing the wardrobe door and turning away.
Ana glanced at Alisa, but the maid remained silent.
Curious but respectful, Ana said, “Okay. If you want to eat here, have Alisa send the food up.”
Olivia shook her head gently. “It’s fine. I’ll take the elevator.”
“Alright,” Ana nodded before leaving.
Olivia only stepped away from the wardrobe once Ana had gone.
By the end of the week, Olivia’s foot had healed enough for her to walk without difficulty.
Ana planned a trip to the salon, promising coffee and even a horse race viewing afterward.
During their morning visit to the salon, Olivia spotted Sophie and Katrina. Her heart skipped a beat when Sophie caught her eye and smiled in recognition.
Ana, focused on Katrina, didn’t notice their exchanged glance.
Katrina approached with a warm smile. “You’re here too, Ana.”
Dressed in a long white dress with a shawl that enhanced her elegance, Ana replied politely but without much enthusiasm, “I brought my daughter-in-law for a facial since we’re both free.”
Turning to Olivia, Katrina greeted, “I’m Katrina, Olivia. We’ve met before.”
Olivia immediately recognized her as Claude’s mother. She paused briefly before responding with a polite nod, “Hello, Ms. Katrina.”
